January 2026 Reading Wrap Up
How are we already in February? Yes, this January 2026 reading wrap-up is a little late—but better late than never!
January was a busy month for me. I stepped in to cover a friend’s class for the month, and let’s just say it was more of a challenge than I expected. By the time I got home each day, I was exhausted, and my hobbies (including reading and blogging) definitely took a hit.
That said, I’m proud of what I managed to read! In January, I read five books—two brand-new 2026 releases and three backlist titles. While it wasn’t my most productive reading month, it felt good to sneak in stories whenever I could and start the year with a mix of new releases and some older gems from my TBR.
If this month taught me anything, it’s that reading seasons ebb and flow—and that’s okay. I’m hoping February brings a little more balance (and a little more reading time!), but for now, I’m happy with these five books and the stories that kept me company through a very full and challenging month.

January 2026 Reading Wrap Up

The Re-Do List by Denise Williams. What a fun start to my reading year! I always love curling up with a Denise Williams romance, and this one was no exception. Watching Willow redefine her life and step into the love story she deserved was deeply satisfying. It leaned a little insta-lovey for my taste, but overall it was a solid, swoony romance—and I’ll absolutely be picking up whatever Denise releases next.
The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood. This one has been on my TBR for far too long, and I’m so glad I finally read it. It was a delightful mix of magical realism and romance—funny, heartfelt, and full of whimsical moments that tugged at my heartstrings. It struck the perfect balance between light and emotional, and now I’m eagerly waiting to see what Kristy writes next.
Room to Breathe by Kasie West. There’s something so comforting about a Kasie West romance. Room to Breathe was cute, sweet, and easy to sink into. While I didn’t love the back-and-forth timelines, the overall story was adorable and delivered exactly what I expect from her—an enjoyable, feel-good read perfect for when you want something light and charming.

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn. This was a re-read for me as I dive back into the Bridgerton world—and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around. It was so much fun revisiting Daphne and Simon’s story, especially while re-watching season one of the show alongside it. I’m excited to continue through the series and compare each book to the television adaptation as I go!
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. This was my January book club pick, and while I didn’t love it quite as much as some others did, I still appreciated it. I really enjoyed that it was written entirely in letters—it gave the story a unique, intimate feel. It didn’t completely wow me, but it was an enjoyable read overall and one I’m glad I experienced with my book club.
