February 2026 Romance Books to Read

Free Falling by Jill Shalvis
Free Falling is a cozy contemporary romance about healing, found family, and love after heartbreak. Busy contractor Ryder isn’t looking for romance, but saving guarded chef Penny draws him into her carefully protected world. As Penny rebuilds her life in a small California town with her family by her side, Ryder keeps testing the walls she’s built—and sparks fly when neither expects it.

Game, Set, Match by Jennifer Iacopelli
This tennis rom-com follows Penny, a rising star determined to stay focused as she prepares for the biggest tournament of her career—until she runs into Alex, the charismatic bad boy who once broke her heart. Training side by side at their elite club forces old sparks back to life, no matter how hard Penny tries to keep her game face on. It sounds like it will be a fun story with some great on- and off-court drama.

Get Over It, April Evans by Ashley Herring Blake
Ashley Herring Blake returns with a heartfelt lake-town romance about heartbreak, rivalry, and unexpected second chances. When struggling artist April takes a summer job at a resort, she’s shocked to discover her cabinmate is Daphne—the woman who unknowingly stole her ex-fiancé. Forced into close quarters and competing for a career-changing opportunity, their animosity slowly gives way to undeniable chemistry. It will be a tender, emotional romance about healing and starting over.

Just for the Cameras by Meghan Quinn
I am a huge fan of Meghan Quinn’s books—they’re my ultimate comfort reads. This playful rom-com brings together Maple, a devoted zookeeper with zero patience for egos, and Graydon, a famously grumpy football star forced into a PR stunt he wants nothing to do with. Their fake-friendly partnership quickly turns into witty banter, unexpected chemistry, and plenty of awkward on-camera moments. I just know I’m going to love this one!

Love and Other Brain Experiments by Hannah Brohm
There’s nothing better than a STEM rom-com, and I have high hopes for this one. Love and Other Brain Experiments follows Frances, a neuroscientist eager to revive her stalled career at a high-profile conference hosted by her wildly successful ex. When her rivalry with fellow researcher Lewis is mistaken for romantic tension, a fake-dating scheme suddenly becomes her most promising strategy. It sounds like a smart, humorous, and charming rivals-to-lovers story about discovering what you truly want in life, perfect for fans of Ali Hazelwood and Christina Lauren.

One & Only by Maurene Goo
I’m really looking forward to Maurene Goo’s adult debut. Blending In Five Years vibes with a millennial Joy Luck Club feel, this rom-com follows Cassia, a matchmaker who can find everyone’s soulmate except her own. After a spontaneous fling with a younger man sparks real chemistry, Cass is stunned when he introduces her to his boss, Daniel, the fated love she’s been searching for over the past decade. As family secrets come to light and destiny clashes with desire, Cass must decide whether to trust fate or finally choose her own path.

Skate It Till You Make It by Rufaro Faith Mazarura
Skate It Till You Make It sounds like the perfect winter rom-com to cozy up with. It follows Ari, a new team captain trying to stay focused during the biggest competition of her career, and Drew, a risk-averse photographer seeking a fresh start. After a one-night connection they never expected to revisit, fate throws them back together in the Swiss Alps—and suddenly fake dating seems like the easiest way to navigate nosy families, messy exes, and mounting pressure. I expect it to be charming, cozy, and full of chemistry.

The Wild Card by Stephanie Archer
The next book in the Vancouver Storm series is almost here! The Wild Card pairs Jordan, the reluctant new staff member with the Vancouver Storm team, with Tate, the beloved coach and a single dad known for being impossible to dislike—except by her. Forced to work together to save the team, their dynamic shifts as Tate’s gentle, protective side begins to emerge in ways Jordan never expected. With sizzling chemistry and their careers at stake, it’s a tempting risk neither can ignore. How fun does this one sound?

Honey Bee Mine by Sarah T. Dubb
I love a good small-town romance, and I feel like this one will be so enjoyable. Honey Bee Mine follows Penny, a hardworking beekeeper determined to save her family farm, and Zander, the reformed bad boy who reluctantly returns home for the summer. Forced to team up to pull off the town’s Honey Festival, their clashing personalities slowly turn into flirtation, trust, and chemistry neither expected. It sounds like it will be warm, sweet, and full of charm—kind of like a Hallmark movie, and I’m not mad about it!

I’m Looking for a Man in Finance by Sabrina Waldorf
How fun is this title? In this enemies-to-lovers rom-com, Hallie is a journalist reluctantly hunting for Wall Street’s hottest bachelor and ends up meeting James, the finance bro who keeps derailing her assignment for reasons he won’t admit. Their weekly clashes shift into witty banter, sparks and more chemistry than either planned on. It sounds like it will be so fun and full of some Manhattan drama—I can’t wait for this one!

It’s All In Your Head by Sabina Nordqvist
A swoony fake-dating romance about chronic illness, vulnerability, and falling for someone who truly sees you. Skylar agrees to pose as Pike’s girlfriend—the hot, broody guy from her chronic pain support group—only to discover he’s a famously injured Olympic snowboarder hiding from his past. As their pretend relationship turns real, they must navigate disability, public scrutiny, and feelings neither of them expected.

Maybe This Once by Sophie Sullivan
Another small-town romance I’m excited to read! This story follows Charlie, who’s trying to rebuild her life after a viral video throws her off course, and Grayson, a lodge owner who’s happy keeping his heart off-limits. What starts as a simple summer fling quickly becomes deeper as their surprising connection challenges the walls they’ve both built. I expect it to be a sweet and tender opposites-attract story that shows the importance of taking a chance on something real.

The Baby Dragon Bookshop by A.T. Qureshi
The next book in The Baby Dragon series is almost here! When two magical business owners are forced to compete, then cooperate for funding, their long-standing animosity turns into something more. With enemies-to-lovers tension, small-town charm, and a whimsical bookshop setting, this cozy romance is perfect for readers who love a little magical realism and slow-burn chemistry.

Two Can Play by Ali Hazelwood
I’m really excited to finally read Two Can Play by Ali Hazelwood. Originally released as an audio exclusive, this story explores the world of video game design with plenty of tension and spice. Viola lands her dream project—until she’s paired with Jesse, the coworker who can’t stand her for reasons she’s never understood. Stranded together at a snowy team retreat, their frosty dynamic begins to thaw, revealing unexpected chemistry and much more beneath their rivalry.

Untamed Heart by Gemma Morr
Untamed Heart is pitched as perfect for fans of Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage, which sounds perfect to me! It follows Lottie, who escapes a collapsing life to return home to her family’s ranch in Wyoming. A chance encounter with a handsome stranger quickly becomes complicated when she discovers Cole works at the Diamond Back ranch. When a rival ranch threatens everything, she must prove to everyone and herself that she has what it takes to succeed. I can’t wait for this one!

Hunter’s Treasure by Olivia Jackson
Hunter’s Treasure is another rom-com adventure story on this list that I can’t wait to get to. It follows Sydney, who washes ashore expecting disaster—not a grumpy treasure hunter with a map and a mission. Drawn into Hunter’s search for legendary gold, she suddenly finds herself trekking through dangerous terrain, dodging snakes, and competing against a rival crew that wants the treasure just as badly. It sounds so fun!

If Only You Knew by Ellie K. Wilde
I’m behind on the Oakwood Bay series, but I’m still excited for the final book! This friends-to-lovers story follows Summer and Parker, lifelong best friends who try to fix each other’s love lives—only to discover they might have been looking in the wrong direction all along. After a matchmaking disaster pushes Summer to leave Oakwood Bay for a globe-spanning surf competition, Parker finally realizes the depth of his feelings. I think this one will be sweet, heartfelt, and full of yearning, and I’m really looking forward to reading it.

The Halifax Hellions by Alexandra Vasti
The Halifax Hellions is a scandalous historical romance featuring the rule-breaking Halifax twins. When one sister elopes with a man who should hate her and the other sets off on a chaotic road trip to stop it with the buttoned-up solicitor who’s secretly in love with her, sparks, secrets, and swoony moments flourish. It’s guaranteed to be packed with witty banter, chaos, and irresistible chemistry. This edition brings together both Margo and Matilda’s novellas with a brand-new epilogue! You don’t want to miss it!

Without a Clue by Melissa Ferguson
I haven’t read any books by Melissa Ferguson, but this will definitely be my first! This clue-filled rom-com follows Pip, an assistant to a famous mystery author, whose composure is tested when a glamorous book cruise turns deadly. With the ship’s security struggling, she teams up with Nash, a charming Western novelist, to uncover the truth before the killer strikes again. I’m hoping it will be packed with humour and sweet romance, leaving me wanting more.

And Now, Back to You by B.K. Borison
I still need to read First Time Caller, but I’m really looking forward to the sequel. This romance follows Delilah and Jackson, two meteorologists whose clashing styles land them on a reluctant team covering a historic snowstorm. As they trade expertise, their prickly dynamic softens into an unexpectedly sweet friendship, marked by undeniable chemistry. It sounds cozy, funny, and full of opposites-attract charm that I know I’m going to love.
