July 2026 Romance Books to Read

Every Version of You by Natalie Messier
I’ve been excited for this release since I discovered it! After an unexpected death, Joey is given the chance to relive the year she first met her longtime crush, the man she thought she hated. Determined to finally win the heart of the one who got away, she quickly discovers that second chances can change everything. With romance, friendship and a touch of magical realism, so many readers will love this one.

Most Ardently Yours by Freya Sampson
As a fan of Pride and Prejudice, I couldn’t miss this romance. After accidentally bringing Mr. Darcy to modern-day London, romance-loving Zoe finds herself torn between the fictional hero she’s adored for years and a frustratingly attractive bookseller who challenges everything she thought she wanted. It’s a guaranteed charm rom-com for readers who love stories about books, romance, and a little dash of magic. How fun does this one sound?

Rewrite the Stars by Lindsay Hameroff
If you’re anything like me, you can’t resist a good romance set by the lake. In Rewrite the Stars, a summer at a lakeside fixer-upper offers former actress Marissa a chance to escape the spotlight and focus on herself. When renovations put her in close quarters with a charming contractor, what begins as a quiet retreat quickly becomes more complicated. Heartwarming and romantic, this second-chance-at-life story sounds perfect for fans of Carley Fortune.

Summer People by Sally Blakely
A secret summer romance, years of unresolved feelings, and a final beach getaway come together in Summer People. Everett and Sutton have spent years hiding their on-again-off-again relationship from their closest friends, but a reunion trip forces them to confront the past they’ve been avoiding. When I’m looking for a good summer romance to read at the cottage, I’ll be leaning towards this one!

The Final Score by Lana Ferguson
If you binged Off Campus and Heated Rivalry, you won’t want to miss your next hockey-themed romance. After an injury threatens his future and a housing crisis leaves Abby with nowhere to go, the two find themselves sharing a home—and slowly discovering they have more in common than they expected. With forced proximity, hockey, and some emotional baggage, it’s an addictive read. I love Lana Ferguson, so I’m excited to pick this one up! I’ve been a fan of every Lana Ferguson book I’ve read this year, so this one is definitely on my radar!

The MASH Up by Laura Marie Meyers
This is one of my most anticipated romance books for the summer! After a birthday breakup turns her life upside down, Ruby wakes up inside the childhood M.A.S.H. game she used to play—and suddenly her wildest seventh-grade dreams have come true. The only problem is that the game insists her soulmate is her brother’s best friend, the one man she’s spent years trying to avoid. Fun, whimsical, and full of romantic tension, this magical rom-com sounds like a delightful escape—I know I can’t wait to read it!

The Roommate Rule by Georgia Stone
A summer in Wales becomes far more complicated when two complete opposites end up sharing a cabin for six weeks. Determined to keep things simple, Dylan sets one very important rule: absolutely no romance with her charming, carefree roommate. Packed with forced proximity, opposites-attract chemistry, and plenty of tension, this romance will keep you turning the pages. I love books set in the UK, so I definitely want to pick this one up!

Book Club Boyfriend by Jenny Holiday
Romance books with bookish elements are the best! A struggling film producer and a bestselling author with writer’s block form an unexpected friendship in this charming contemporary romance. What begins as a series of text messages soon turns into movie nights, shared secrets, and plenty of time spent together under the same roof. Book Club Boyfriend sounds like a delightful romance about finding love when life doesn’t go as planned.

Extracurricular by Rachel Lynn Soloman
This one is definitely on my summer TBR! Extracurricular follows a former pop star seeking a fresh start who finds herself unexpectedly drawn to her psychology professor. As Ramona adjusts to life outside the spotlight and Nick navigates his complicated past, a friendship forms that soon becomes impossible to ignore. Rachel Lynn Solomon is an auto-read author for me, and this heartfelt romance sounds like a perfect blend of emotional depth, chemistry, and personal growth.

In Stormy Weather by Chelsea Curto
Hurricane season sets the backdrop for this rivals-to-lovers romance between two meteorologists who can’t seem to stay out of each other’s way. When Quincy and Sebastian are forced into close quarters during a scorching Florida summer, old grudges quickly give way to something far more complicated. This one sounds so interesting, and I love the cover! I’m also intrigued by a story with meteorologists as the main characters.

The Romance Revival by Christina Lauren
I’m always excited when a new Christina Lauren book is announced, and this one sounds especially moving. After a tragic accident erases her husband’s memories, scientist Emery uses groundbreaking technology to bring him back—but now she must find a way to make him fall in love with her all over again. I have an advanced copy of The Romance Revival—so be sure to come back to read my thoughts!

Just a Highland Fling by Naina Kumar
A road trip through the Scottish Highlands is already a great setup for a romance, but adding a runaway bride and a one-night stand makes it even better. When Neelu finds herself travelling across Scotland with the last person she expected to see, old sparks quickly reignite. Readers who enjoy forced proximity, second-chance chemistry, and plenty of banter will want to add this one to their summer TBR. I’ve been to Scotland many times (my grandmother was born in Glasgow), and I honestly can’t resist a good romance set there.

Married with Benefits by Ellie Palmer
Marriage-of-convenience romances are always hard for me to resist, and this one has a fun setup. When an unexpected inheritance leaves Lainey and Elliot with intertwined futures, a practical arrangement quickly becomes far more complicated. Set in a small town, with forced proximity and plenty of romantic tension, this sounds like a delightful contemporary romance. I have high hopes for this!

Vera Stein is Fine by Julie Murphy
Julie Murphy’s latest romance proves it’s never too late for a fresh start. When Vera unexpectedly finds herself living in a quirky retirement community of former Hollywood stars, she comes face-to-face with an old flame she never expected to see again. Packed with humour, heart, and a delightful cast of characters, this second-chance romance is absolutely charming. I’m excited to pick this up. I just adore the cover, too!

Yes, Chef by Grace Reilly
A struggling chef and a social media influencer team up to save a beloved restaurant in this opposites-attract romance by Grace Reilly. When Poppy convinces the grumpy, grieving Jack to help revive his late mentor’s restaurant, the two quickly realize that working together is easier than ignoring the chemistry between them. Foodie romance fans will definitely want to add this one to their reading list! I have high hopes for this one and a good feeling that it will deliver.

Fossil Feud by Maggie North
This is another one I’m particularly excited about! I just love a good adventure romance. Academic rivals, dinosaur fossils, and a quest to expose scientific fraud make for the perfect adventure romance! When paleontologists Ripley and James are forced to work together to uncover the truth behind a suspicious fossil discovery, their professional partnership quickly becomes far more complicated. Readers who love STEM romances and opposites-attract dynamics should definitely keep this one on their radar.

I’ve Got a Crush on You by Lauren Blakely
Small-town romance fans will not want to miss this one! When Chloe discovers that her recent fling is also her new landlord and business partner, keeping things professional quickly becomes impossible. With a quirky town setting, forced proximity, and plenty of chemistry, this sounds like a fun, charming romance. I have so many Lauren Blakely books on my TBR that I really do need to catch up—but this seems like a good place to start.

Just for the Plot by Meghan Quinn
Meghan Quinn is one of my auto-read authors, so I’m always excited when she has a new release. I’m currently re-reading one of her books as I write this post! When Bennett finds himself falling harder than ever for his sister’s best friend, the friendship they’ve always relied on begins to shift into something far more complicated. Packed with slow-burn tension, witty banter, and plenty of chemistry, this sports romance is sure to be a hit with romance readers. As a baseball fan, I’m SO excited for this one!

Wild Goose Chase by Sarah Adler
I can’t wait for this one! An illegal taxidermy goose might be one of the most delightfully ridiculous romance premises I’ve seen in a while. When antique dealers Cal and Annie are forced to team up after a contraband bird goes missing, their search quickly becomes complicated by their growing attraction to each other. Sarah Adler is known for quirky, charming romances, and this one sounds like it will be full of humour, banter, and plenty of sparks.
August 2026 Romance Books to Read

Embrace by Bal Khabra
As a Canadian, I love reading books set in my country. But as someone who lives in the Greater Toronto Area, it’s even more exciting to read books set in Toronto. Embrace is a college hockey story about Kian, an NHL-bound player who reluctantly joins a study group to earn the credits he needs to graduate. Things get complicated when he starts to fall for Scarlett, the woman leading the group and his coach’s daughter. With a little forbidden romance and plenty of hockey, this is a great pick for readers who love Off Campus and heartfelt romances.

How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle by Alissa DeRogatis
After a painful breakup leaves her with writer’s block, romance author Ainsley decides to recreate classic rom-com meet-cutes in real life, hoping to find inspiration for her next book. As one disastrous attempt after another fails to deliver the happily-ever-after she’s looking for, she wonders whether love might be closer than she thinks. This sounds like a fun romance about finding love in unexpected places, and I’m excited to pick it up!

Lost and Found by Tarah DeWitt
A new Tarah DeWitt romance to look forward to! After losing her best friend, Bea is determined to honour her friend’s dream of becoming a mother while navigating a future she never expected. When she moves in with longtime friend Silas, a firefighter carrying his own wounds, their friendship deepens. It sounds emotional, hopeful, and full of heart—all about the possibility of finding love when you need it most.

A Witch in Notting Hill by Alexandra Paige
Who can resist a good witchy romance? I know I can’t, especially when the fall weather starts to set in! When a spell goes disastrously wrong, turning her manager into a cat, actress and secret witch Willow heads to London in search of a magical fix. While there, she teams up with Oliver, the grumpy owner of an occult bookstore who doesn’t believe in magic, for an adventure that takes them across the city. It sounds unbelievably cozy and whimsical—I can’t wait to read this one!

My Best French Wedding by Amanda Sellet
How lovely is this book cover? When wedding-industry rivals Hildy and Walter compete for the biggest story of the year at a lavish destination wedding in southern France, old wounds and unresolved feelings quickly resurface. As they race to secure the best scoop, their week of champagne, luxury, and close quarters makes it harder to ignore the chemistry that’s been simmering between them for years. If you love rivals-to-lovers romance and travel in books, just like me, My Best French Wedding is the book for you.

The Matchmaker’s Cottage by Kat Sloane
I’m a cottage girl at heart, and this one immediately caught my attention. If you love small-town romance and emotional second-chance love stories, I think you’ll also want to pick up The Matchmaker’s Cottage. Julia has spent years building her cozy bed-and-breakfast in Upstate New York, but when her childhood sweetheart unexpectedly returns with a celebrity matchmaking scheme that could save her struggling business, she’s forced to spend more time with him than she’d like. As old feelings resurface, Julia and Ethan must decide whether their story deserves a second chance.

World’s Okayest Oracle (Reluctantly) Seeks Demon by Olivia Dade
Oracle Gwen has spent her life predicting everyday mishaps, but when a vision reveals a threat that could change humanity’s fate, she finds herself in desperate need of help. Unfortunately, the help comes in the form of Hugh, the demon who witnessed one of her most embarrassing failures years earlier. Olivia Dade is such a fun romance author, and this new release blends paranormal romance with humour and adventure, making it a perfect pick for my TBR and yours as well!

The Bodyguard’s Fall by Cindy Steel
I adore Cindy Steel’s books, and I love it when she collaborates with more of my favourite Kindle Unlimited authors on a cozy romance series. In the first book of the Falling for Autumn series, a crime screenwriter is forced to write a romantic screenplay, well outside her comfort zone, while dealing with an escalating stalker situation. She’s sent back to her hometown under the protection of her older brother’s best friend, a cop recovering from his own difficult past. There, cozy autumn outings and self-defence lessons start to feel a lot more like a love story than either of them planned. I can’t wait to read it!

Big Apple Farm by Megan Clawson
How adorable is this cover? I can already picture curling up with it on a day when the weather is a little cooler, and the summer heat starts to ease. A city boy raised on privilege is sent to his dad’s childhood farm for a much-needed reality check—and ends up working alongside a no-nonsense country girl with zero patience for his entitled ways. Think enemies-to-lovers with a side of muddy boots and small-town charm, as two people from completely different worlds start to wonder whether opposites really do attract.

Fireworks by Bonnie Woods
Another book on this list that’s set in Scotland! See, I told you I can’t resist them! This autumn romance follows a bookshop employee in the Scottish Highlands who clashes with the village’s newest firefighter. As the annual fireworks festival approaches and circumstances force them to work together, their rivalry slowly gives way to something hard to ignore. As the summer months wind down, Fireworks is definitely worth picking up!

Something About September by Julia McKay
Another cozy romance to pick up as summer ends and fall begins! After inheriting her grandmother’s diner, Rebecca returns home to renovate the beloved local spot, only to find herself working closely with the contractor she never quite got over. Featuring a second-chance romance, a single dad, and all the cozy fall vibes, this sounds like the perfect book to curl up with as the weather turns. The cover is stunning, too!

Experiments in Offline Dating by Kat Mackenzie
Another perfect book on this list to pick up if you’re hoping to travel through books this summer. Experiments in Offline Dating features a matchmaking festival, a dating podcast, and a grumpy Irish sheep farmer—what could be better? After a disastrous blind date, Maya is horrified to learn she’ll be spending even more time with the man she can’t stop arguing with. If you enjoy witty banter and enemies-to-lovers chemistry, you’ll want this one on your TBR. I’m excited for this one!

Keeping Score by Brittany Kelley
Brittany Kelley returns with a soccer romance pairing a driven team executive with the easygoing goalie she can’t seem to avoid. When a lost bet forces Michelle to spend more time with Tristan, she begins to see a different side of the charming athlete who has always pushed her buttons. Packed with workplace tension, opposites-attract chemistry, and plenty of soccer, this romance is perfect for sports romance fans! I’m eagerly anticipating the return of Ted Lasso, so this one is especially appealing to me!

One for the Road by Elliot Fletcher
Elliot Fletcher returns to the Isle of Skye with a charming romance about a grumpy doctor and the single mother next door. What begins as a fake relationship to solve both of their problems soon becomes far more complicated as real feelings develop. Filled with small-town charm, Scottish scenery, and plenty of heart, this romance is perfect for readers who love opposites-attract stories and cozy settings. I can’t wait to pick this up—no surprise, since it’s set in Scotland!

Resisting the Fall by Jess Heileman
Also part of the Falling for Autumn series, this one follows a woman who discovers her divorce was never finalized — and is now court-ordered to spend thirty days back in her hometown to prove her marriage to her high school sweetheart isn’t worth saving. It’s a second-chance romance full of banter, pranks, and the kind of old feelings that are very inconvenient when you’re trying to sign divorce papers. Jess Heileman wrote one of my favourite Christmas stories for another Kindle Unlimited series, so I have high hopes for this one!
September 2026 Romance Books to Read

Falling for Keeps by Kasey Stockton
Another installment in the Falling for Autumn series, this one stars a bookish small-town librarian who shares an impulsive kiss with her high school crush — only for him to show up as her new neighbour the very next morning. He’s a newly divorced single dad who’s sworn off love, and she’s someone who doesn’t do anything halfway, which makes “just friends” a lot more complicated than either of them bargained for. I just adore Kasey Stockton’s books, and I know I’m going to be completely swept up in this book from the very first page.

Big Bad Wolf by Laurie Gilmore
From the author of the beloved Dream Harbor series comes a brand-new paranormal romance set in the cozy yet secretive small town of Maple Hollow, where a woman living on the edge of the woods finds herself drawn to a brooding, mysterious woodsman with secrets of his own. It’s a grumpy-sunshine, fated-mates romance set against a dark, shadowy forest backdrop that gives off serious fairy-tale vibes. This seems so different from her other series that I’m very intrigued—especially since it releases as we head into Fall.

Fall into Place by Kirstyn J. Miller
This cover is stunning and perfect for fall. A woman returns to her family’s historic apple orchard in rural Vermont for one last autumn before it’s sold. Rediscovering her late grandmother’s journal leads her straight back to the groundskeeper’s son—her childhood crush and her brother’s best friend. It’s a beautifully cozy small-town romance about big dreams, bittersweet goodbyes, and two people who never quite got their timing right.

Love Felt Like This by Julie Olivia
A brooding rock star who’s lost his creative spark and a sunshine-y children’s show producer who’s lost her funding end up hiding out in her cozy mountain hometown for three months to create something magical together—with his secret toddler in tow. It’s a grumpy-sunshine romance full of opposites-attract tension, small-town charm, and slow-burn chemistry. I’m excited to pick this one up!

Meet Cute Magic by Morgan Elizabeth
Another witchy romance I’m looking forward to this year! A witch cursed never to find love without heartbreak conjures a ghost to help break the curse—but making the required potion means teaming up with the one person in town who genuinely can’t stand her. It’s a cozy, witchy enemies-to-lovers story set in the charming Heartwood Hollow, which sounds perfect for fans of The Honey Witch and The Spellshop.

Grim Tidings by B.K. Borison
I enjoyed Good Spirits last year, so I’ve been eagerly anticipating the next release. This new standalone addition to the series is a whimsical fall romance about a Grim Reaper who decides to save her next assignment instead of collecting him, only to clash with the Guardian Angel protecting him, who is very much not on board with her plan. It’s a spooky, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers story with a delightfully creative premise that many readers will love.

If Not You by Ellen O’Clover
I’ve enjoyed Ellen O’Clover’s books in the past, so I’m looking forward to this next release! Two rival copywriters from competing ad agencies are thrown together for a month of travel while pitching for the same luxury resort account. What starts as a chance to finally beat her long-time nemesis slowly begins to feel like something much more complicated. It’s a witty, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance about competition, vulnerability, and the stories we tell ourselves about the people we can’t seem to forget.

Free Falling by Lyla Sage
I’m admittedly a little behind on reading Lyla Sage’s books, but that doesn’t stop the excitement of a new release. An antique shop owner with a crumbling roof and a secret connection to her neighbour’s family, and a charming farmer with an oddly specific inheritance clause, strike up a fake relationship to save their legacies—all while being haunted, quite literally, by the past. It’s a swoony small-town romance with a ghostly twist, set in the irresistible world of Sweetwater Peak.

So It Grows by Andie Burke
I love a good enemies-to-lovers rom-com, and this one sounds like it could be a hit! A woman who inherits her aunt’s plant shop gets more than she bargained for when the wildly popular mac-and-cheese restaurant next door and its infuriatingly attractive chef start causing trouble. A greedy developer threatening both their businesses forces them to team up. I feel like I’ve entered my plant-and-garden era, so I love that this features a heroine who works in a plant shop!

Well Versed by Jen DeLuca
I absolutely love the Well Met series, and as soon as I learned of a new release, I added it to my TBR. Well Versed follows a woman who swore off the Renaissance Faire and the boy who broke her heart there, as she finds herself back in her lady-in-waiting costume, face-to-face with him six years later— and clearly not over what happened. I have high hopes for this second-chance romance, especially set against the whimsical backdrop of the Willow Creek Faire.

Spellstruck by Martha Waters
In a lightly magical 1920s London, where magic is outlawed but underground speakeasies still serve enchanted cocktails, a club owner and the government enforcer tasked with shutting her down are forced to team up when dangerously unpredictable potions put people at risk. It’s a witty, atmospheric enemies-to-lovers romance, with chemistry between the leads as intoxicating as anything on the menu. I just love the 1920s London setting—this one will be so much fun in the fall months!

The Twelve Loves of Christmas Anthology
I think this might be my most anticipated holiday romance release this year. I’m calling it now! The Twelve Loves of Christmas is a holiday short story collection featuring twelve romance stories—ranging from forced proximity and second chances to neighbours deciding to skip the holidays together. It’s the perfect cozy December read for anyone who wants a little festive love story to look forward to each day. I have no idea when I’m going to pick this up, but no matter the timing, I’m excited!
October 2026 Romance Books to Read

Broken Rival by Tessa Bailey
Tessa Bailey is an author I never miss, and her next release seems so different from anything she’s written before! Broken Rival follows an eighteen-year-old girl from fifty years in the future who finds herself stranded in the present after her scientist parents are executed for illegal time travel. Her only option is to take refuge with a family whose two very different sons complicate things in ways she didn’t expect. This is so different from what I typically read, but because it’s Tessa, I have to give it a shot!

Counting Down to You by Emily Stone
I can’t believe I’m talking about even more holiday romance, but I love to be prepared! A woman grieving the loss of her best friend travels to the Alps to honour a promise—working through an Advent calendar of challenges Robyn left behind before she died. While there, she ends up in a fake-dating situation with her stoic, brooding boss, and it starts to feel very real, very quickly. This one sounds like a tender, emotional holiday romance about healing and finding connection, one that so many readers will love.

Mistletoe All the Way by Lauren Blakely
Another Lauren Blakely book I’m looking forward to in the second half of the year! A grumpy cowboy veterinarian who wants nothing to do with Christmas is forced to return to his hometown to fight for his grandfather’s beloved sleigh-ride farm—and ends up reluctantly teaming up with the town’s most enthusiastic Christmas lover to win a holiday competition. How fun does this cozy, spicy small-town romance sound?

Solar Eclipse of the Heart by Kate Robb
In Solar Eclipse of the Heart, a grief-stricken PhD candidate preparing to move abroad has her plans upended when her new roommate turns out to be an infuriatingly attractive musician—and his mysterious leather jacket begins giving her inexplicable visions she can’t explain. Set in Toronto, this magical realism novel is a heartfelt tale about love, loss, and learning to trust again.

Entities to Lovers by Mallory Marlowe
This witty enemies-to-lovers rom-com seems perfect for me, and I think many of you will love it too. Entities to Lovers follows a paranormal medium and a history professor who can’t stand each other and are forced to co-host ghost tours in Boston. They end up accidentally hexed by a matchmaking spirit who insists they stay in close proximity or suffer perpetual bad luck. I’m excited for the paranormal elements, too!

It’s Beginning to Look at Lot Like Murder by Ally Carter Book Cover
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year, so it’s no surprise I’m eager to pick up its sequel! When a billionaire’s grandson goes missing after his family’s Christmas party and the housekeeper’s daughter is the prime suspect, the two childhood enemies are forced to team up in a snowy mountain town to catch the real killer before anyone else does. I already know it will be a fun holiday romance mystery featuring a solid enemies-to-lovers trope!

Merry Spooky Love by Josie Silver
Merry Spooky Love is another book I’m excited about this holiday season, especially when I’m looking for a romance with a little genre twist. It follows a ghostbuster who is hired by the spirit of a recently deceased department store owner to help save her beloved family store from being sold, while her on-and-off boyfriend is working for the other side. It sounds like a fun read, and I’m looking forward to catching up on this series!

Snow This is Love by Zoraida Córdova, Jasmine Guillory, Christina Lauren, Julie Murphy and Jesse Q. Sutanto
There’s something about short stories I love, even if I don’t always prioritize them. Snow This is Love sounds perfect for the holiday season, and I really can’t wait to read short stories by these incredible authors. This festive collection features five beloved romance authors who reimagine classic Disney tales as cozy contemporary holiday romances spanning Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year. It’s a perfect curl-up-with-a-blanket read for anyone who loves a little holiday magic, a little Disney nostalgia, and a whole lot of happily ever afters.

A Married Little Christmas by Abby Jimenez
I adore Abby Jimenez, and I’m so looking forward to reading her Christmas-themed book—especially one featuring three holiday novellas! Readers can expect a fake-dating scheme at a disastrous Christmas dinner, a zombie Santa who meets her match, and a best friend determined to talk someone out of a three-day engagement in the town of Little Christmas. I expect this to be a really cozy, feel-good read to curl up with!

Christmas Staycation by Meghan Quinn
Another Meghan Quinn book I can’t wait to read soon! Honestly, if you haven’t read one of her books yet, you really need to! In Christmas Staycation, a polished people-pleaser, Taran finds herself fake-engaged to her ex to keep the peace at a family Christmas—until his baseball-player brother, Nolan, who is loud, cocky, and entirely too perceptive, decides she deserves better and makes it his mission to prove it. It will be a spicy, laugh-out-loud rom-com, and I can’t wait for the next installment in the Kringletown series!

Undone by Peyton Corinne
How stunning is this book cover? The fourth book in The Undone series follows Toren, a hockey player branded as dangerous, who gets his last shot at redemption with a new team—only to discover that his new assistant coach is the man who knows all his secrets, and that the coach’s daughter is his childhood best friend and first love. I’m a sucker for a good second-chance romance, and this one sounds like it will be perfect!

Brown-Eyed Earl by Jenny Holiday
Sometimes a good historical romance hits the spot. As soon as I heard it pitched as Ted Lasso meets Bridgerton, and given that it’s written by Jenny Holiday, I knew I had to add it to my TBR! It follows Simon, a strait-laced, scholarly earl who was never meant to inherit his title, as his quiet annual retreat with his two best friends is upended when a lady’s companion he’s been enchanted by arrives with a shocking request—she needs someone kind and trustworthy to help her stage her own ruination to escape a blackmail threat. How fun does this one sound?

Eight Ways to Say I Love You by Amanda Elliot
Spanning eight years of two childhood friends growing up, drifting apart, and finding their way back to each other, this Hanukkah romance follows Shira and Leo as life keeps spinning them in different directions at exactly the wrong moments. It sounds like a beautiful, warm, slow-burn romance about timing and how sparks never quite fade, no matter how much time passes. I’m really looking forward to picking it up!

Falling for a Villainous Vampire by Charlotte Stein
Charlotte Stein’s books are always so intriguing to me! Her next book in the Sanctuary for Supernatural Creatures series sounds addictive, especially as it’s an enemies-to-lovers romance! It follows Marley, a woman who has spent countless lifetimes being stalked by her vampire nemesis and finally gets a reprieve when a spell meant to make him forget her accidentally wipes his entire memory—leaving behind a big, sweet, protective Viking vampire who thinks she’s the love of his life. I think this one will be a perfect fall book to curl up with!

The Santa Claus Con by Lauren Kung Jessen
As soon as I heard about this one, I added it to my TBR! Two FBI agents who can’t stand each other and share a complicated romantic history are forced to go undercover at New York’s Santa Claus Con to stop a mysterious threat from turning the holiday event into a national disaster. The Santa Claus Con sounds like a fast-paced, funny holiday rom-com, perfect for when I’m looking for a little adventure and romance!
November 2026 Romance Books to Read

Too Cold for Comfort by Nisha J. Tuli
This one follows Aadya, a photographer who travels to northern Canada to capture a career-making polar bear shot, only to be stranded at an overbooked lodge and forced to share a private wing with its gruff, guarded owner for two weeks. It sounds like a fun, cozy forced-proximity romance! I know I’m looking forward to picking it up!

You, Me & the Conspiracy by Emma Barry
I can’t resist a good adventure romance, and this one sounds exciting! You, Me & the Conspiracy follows Jessica, a tenure-track history professor who stumbles upon a coded message from the Founding Fathers that could rewrite American history. She reluctantly teams up with Calloway, the academic rival whose conspiracy theories she once dismissed—only to discover he was right all along. I find this so intriguing, and I’m excited to see where this story takes me!
December 2026 Romance Books to Read

In Every Future, It’s Us by Katie Naymon
Two lifelong best friends have spent nearly a decade playing a New Year’s Eve prediction game that kept them tethered to each other until one letter destroyed everything. Now they’re forced to plan the party together after more than a year of silence. In Every Future, It’s Us, told across past and present timelines, is a sweeping, emotionally rich best-friends-to-lovers romance about all the things left unsaid and whether it’s too late to say them.

The Soul Mate by Lana Ferguson
Another Lana Ferguson release on this list! I’ve truly enjoyed every book I’ve read by her, so I can’t miss this one—even if I’m admittedly behind in this series. It follows a single-mom omega who has been trying to forget a steamy one-night stand and is blindsided when the alpha from that night turns out to be the tattoo artist her workplace desperately needs. Avoiding her growing feelings proves much harder than she anticipated. It sounds like it will be a great read!

The Undergrads: All Nighter by Julie Murphy
I haven’t read the first book in The Undergrads series yet, since it only released earlier this year, but I can’t miss a Julie Murphy release. This next installment follows Daisy, a college student determined to finally come out of her shell, who strikes an unexpected deal with Heath, a brooding British tattoo artist who works at her new job. Five dates, and then he’ll help her cross the one thing off her list she can’t do alone. It sounds like it will be a steamy, fun romance about two people who are definitely each other’s type—even if they’re the last to figure it out.

Vine of Hearts by Julie Soto
The highly anticipated follow-up to Rose in Chains follows Briony, who is forced into an uneasy alliance with Toven—sharing her magic and her heartbeat with the man whose family helped destroy everything she loved, while secretly feeding a rebellion from the inside. I think this will be a slow-burn romantasy about pretending and dangerous secrets. I’m excited for the romance in this one, too!

Bedside Manner by Stephanie Archer
There are so many books by Stephanie Archer I need to catch up on, but this one has really caught my eye. Bedside Manner follows Linden, a medical resident who can’t stand Grant, the brilliant but insufferable surgeon who makes her life difficult. She gets the shock of her life when he turns out to be her first client after she signs up as a high-end escort—and the arrangement that was supposed to be purely transactional starts feeling anything but. It sounds like it will be a steamy, enemies-to-lovers romance with a forbidden setup and some slow-burn feelings. I’m very intrigued!

Just in Time by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka
I’ll never miss a release from Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. Their next romance follows two strangers in New York City who discover they share a rare, whimsical ability—hailing a yellow cab and whispering a date that transports them back in time. But what starts as a charming coincidence becomes complicated when their timelines intersect, and falling for each other means choosing between a messy future together and the safety of endlessly rewriting the past. I love a good magical realism story, and this one is bound to be a good read!

Meet Me at Midnight by Sophie Sullivan
Sophie Sullivan is another author on this list I need to catch up on, but I’m still looking forward to her next release! Meet Me at Midnight follows a New Year’s Eve one-night stand with her brother’s best friend, who was supposed to stay firmly in the past—until an unexpected consequence makes that impossible and forces two people who were trying to forget each other to figure out what they actually want. It can be hard to find a good New Year ‘s-themed romance, so I hope this lives up to my expectations!

Villain Edit by Rosie Danan
A disgraced reality TV producer stumbles upon the ultimate comeback opportunity when she discovers that her grandmother’s neighbour is a vampire crown prince on a decade-long diplomatic assignment among humans—and somehow convinces him to become the first supernatural lead on a famous dating show. How fun does this premise sound? Having read Rosie Danan before, I expect this one to be fun and steamy, and I’m particularly excited about the paranormal aspect!

What Light Breaks by Falon Ballard
The next book in the Idle Reputations series sounds like it’ll be a great read! It’s a Romeo and Juliet-inspired romantasy that follows a sheltered princess with a dangerous, exploited gift who is thrust into a political campaign and married off to the kingdom’s most notorious playboy in a calculated bid to win Talia’s first presidential election. I just know this one will be swoony, and I love that there’s a marriage-of-convenience setup—plus, the political intrigue will make this one addictive from start to finish!
