June 2025 Reading Wrap Up
It’s officially the end of June, which means it’s time to share my June 2025 reading wrap-up!
What a whirlwind June was!
I came back from an incredible trip to England, Ireland and Scotland at the beginning of June. After being home for a few days, I flew to Victoria, British Columbia, to visit my best friend from high school. It was such a lovely trip, and I’m already counting down the days until we’re together again!
I managed to have another fun month of readingโyes, it was slow again. I’m trying to accept that my reading is looking a little different this year, and that’s okay. I still have hope I’ll meet my Goodreads goal by the end of the year!
I read four books in June โ all books released in 2025. While it was another slow month, I’m pleased with how it went. I’m hopeful that July will bring me some more opportunities to relax and read.

June 2025 Reading Wrap Up

Save Me by Mona Kasten. When Maxton Hall was released on Prime, I immediately binged it. I loved every second of itโand I’ve watched it several times since. I had the opportunity to read an early copy of the new English translation of the book, and my goodness, I thoroughly enjoyed it! The show stays so close to the book, which is really nice to see. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I loved picking up the book, reading about the events, and just being with these characters. I can’t wait to read the next two books in the series and watch the second season when it releases!
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. I’ve read all of Emily Henry’s adult romance books except for Beach Read. When Great Big Beautiful Life was picked for my May book club, I was so excited to pick it up. After hearing such mixed reviews, I went into it with a little bit of trepidation. I have to say, it’s not my favourite of her books. I think it was an okay read, but it didn’t give me the typical feelings I usually have when I read a book by Emily Henry.
While I enjoyed the similarities to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I think I just didn’t connect with the characters enough to care about the story. The book was enjoyable in its own way, but it’s certainly not a new favourite. I think a lot of people share my opinion about this new release.

Finders Keepers by Sarah Adler. I’ve been wanting to pick up a book by Sarah Adler for a while, and I’m so glad I finally did! Finders Keepers is a cute and lighthearted second-chance romance that I enjoyed from beginning to end. It’s cozy and light on the mystery, which is just what I needed at the time. While I do wish there was more adventure to the story, I think it was a well-rounded story, and I’m looking forward to reading more of Sarah Adler’s books in the future!
The Amalfi Curse by Sarah Penner. I don’t think I would have picked this book up if it hadn’t been chosen for my June book club pick. The Amalfi Curse was enjoyable, and now I’m left wanting to read more of Sarah Penner’s books in the future! I enjoyed the dual timelines, the light mystery and the writing. I feel like it was the perfect mixture of historical fiction, mystery and romance. I also loved the Amalfi settingโI mean, who wouldn’t?
