September 2025 Reading Wrap Up

It’s hard to believe another month has flown by, but here we are with my September 2025 reading wrap-up.

September always feels like a fresh start—back to routines, back to school, and back to the cozy comforts of fall. This month was a lovely mix of soaking up the last warm days at the cottage, getting back into the rhythm of supply teaching, and spending an incredible week in Victoria, British Columbia, visiting my best friend from high school.

It was the perfect balance of rest, adventure, and a touch of real life creeping back in. My reading definitely reflected that cozy, transitional vibe—equal parts comfort reads and fresh new stories.

In total, I read five books in September—four new releases and one backlist title. I’m really happy with how the month went and excited to see where my fall reading mood takes me next!

September 2025 Reading Wrap Up

My Good Side by Scheana Shay. I’m a huge reality TV fan, and Vanderpump Rules is one of my favourites (honestly, I love anything on Bravo). So this was a book I had to pick up—and I really enjoyed it! Scheana was raw and honest, both about her time on the show and her personal life. I loved learning more about her, and of course, all the behind-the-scenes tidbits from Vanderpump Rules were a total highlight.

Save You by Mona Kasten. With the second season of Maxton Hall on the horizon, I had to pick up the sequel before it releases. I enjoyed this one—maybe not quite as much as the first book, but it was still a solid read. I’m excited to see how it translates on screen! I also have a full review on the blog if you’d like to read more of my thoughts.

Courtroom Drama by Neely Tubati Alexander. As soon as I heard this pitched as Legally Blonde meets The Real Housewives, I knew I had to read it. I really enjoyed it! The little hints and nods to Housewives moments made me giggle throughout. It’s also a fun little second-chance romance. I think I enjoyed the Housewives references even more than the romance itself—but overall, it was such a fun read.

The Measure by Nikki Erlick. This was my book club pick for the month, and honestly, I don’t think I would have picked it up otherwise—but I’m so glad I did. It’s so different from anything I’ve read before, and it sparked some amazing discussions within my book club. Opinions were definitely divided, but I really enjoyed the concept and the thought-provoking premise. It definitely left me wanting to pick up more books by Nikki Erlick!

If All Else Sails by Emma St. Clair. Emma St. Clair is one of my favourite Kindle Unlimited romance authors, so of course I had to pick up her newest release. This one was a fun, cozy, and easy read—with plenty of cute romance and humorous moments. She’s definitely a comfort author for me, and I’m so glad I spent time with this story this month.
