The Wedding Date Review
I’ve been wanting to read a Jasmine Guillory book for a while, and I’m so glad I did! The Wedding Date is such a sweet romantic comedy that everyone is sure to love!
The Wedding Date follows Alexa and Drew who meet while trapped in an elevator. Drew spontaneously asks Alexa to be his date to a wedding and their friendship grows from there!
I really enjoyed the characters in The Wedding Date. Alexa is just so sweet, kind, caring and a little shy. But she also knows what she wants and is a determined woman. I really enjoyed her character arc and certainly was rooting for her love life the whole way through.
Drew is also a great character. He’s a really sweet love interest — plus he’s a doctor, so what’s not to love, right? He’s a little unsure of what he wants but I love that he brings out a different side of Alexa, like she does for him.
The overall story of The Wedding Date is super cute. I love the fact that these charactesr meet in an elevator and their story evolves from there. There’s miscommunication, long distance and some serious romance. But everything plays out just perfectly.
The writing is really great in The Wedding Date. Jasmine Guillory is definitely a natural at writing. Everything seems to flow so well and it makes it the perfect lighthearted romance read.
Overall, The Wedding Date is a super cute romantic comedy. I definitely think that Jasmine Guillory is a new favourite romance author for me. I highly recommend checking out this book if you haven’t yet!
