I really, really enjoyed this book. I don’t know why it took me so long to actually read it! Anna and the French Kiss has been on my to be read list for quite a while. Only after seeing some posts on bookstragram, did I finally decide it was time to see what I was missing. And I’m so glad I finally did.
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
I really love retellings and fairytales. I’m a huge Disney fan and love the world of fairytales because they allow you to escape into a world you only dream about. When Penguin reached out to me about Geekerella, I was immediately interested. It’s a little outside of my comfort zone with respect to plot, but I definitely wanted to give it a try.
Once and for All by Sarah Dessen
I’ve always been a fan of Sarah Dessen’s novels. So I was super excited to hear that she was coming out with another book. Once and for All certainly does not disappoint! Once and for All follows Louna as she helps her mother plan weddings.
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Everything Everything is a really enjoyable book. This is my first Nicola Yoon book and I don’t think it will be my last. Not only is this book captivating and humourous, it’s also endearing and unique! Everything Everything follows Maddy, a young teenage girl who is allergic to the world.
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
The Unexpected Everything is my very first Morgan Matson read. And let me say, it certainly won’t be my last. I really, really loved this book. The Unexpected Everything follows Andie, a super organized and driven girl who has her life planned out. After a scandal changes the course of her summer, she ends up having one of the best, unplanned summers ever.
Four of a Kind by Kellie Sheridan
Pitched as Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants meets Gilmore Girls, Four of a Kind should be one that I would love. But it just totally fell flat. I really did enjoy the main character, Reagan. I enjoyed her babble, her ‘nerdiness’, love of games and her obsession with books. Her relationship with her sisters is totally endearing.
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
I really enjoyed Love and Gelato! I bought the book on a total whim while searching for books on my Kobo. I’m always looking for cute and light reads, so I quickly picked up Love and Gelato! Love and Gelato follows Lina, a teenager who spends her summer in Italy after the death of her mother.
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry
Walk the Edge is a really enjoyable contemporary romance. I didn’t know it was the second book in a series, but I still really enjoyed it. Walk the Edge follows Breanna, a driven girl who is one of nine children. Breanna is blackmailed by a fellow student, which leads her to Razor – a member of the town’s motorcycle club.
