The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. And lucky for me, they’ve always been great supporters of my blog. Their adult debut is so delightful and just as enjoyable as their young adult books! The Roughest Draft follows Katrina and Nathan, successful cowriters whose relationship has fallen apart. After reaching a breaking point in both their lives, they reunite to draft another book. It’s a book about mending relationships, discovering love and finding yourself.

I’ve always been a fan of Jenn Bennett’s books. She’s an auto-buy author for me and Starry Eyes is still one of my all time favourite books. Her newest release is a sweet and charming read, that’s perfect for summer. Always Jane follows Jane, a chaffeur’s daughter who works for a famous LA rock producer. While spending the summer in the Sierra’s for a music festival, she experiences new friendships and new love.
Mr. Wrong Number by Lynn Painter
After reading Better Than the Movies last year, I knew that Lynn Painter was going to become a new favourite author. Once her debut rom-com was announced, I immediately added it to my most anticipated reads for 2022. I’m so glad I did because this book is great! Mr. Wrong Number follows Olivia who gets a text from a wrong number. What starts out as an entertaining texting relationship turns out to be the highlight of Olivia’s days. Once she finds out who the texts are coming from, she realizes that everything might change.

After hearing so much hype surrounding The Love Hypothesis, I knew it was time for me to pick it up. While I didn’t love it as much as everyone else, I still really enjoyed it! The Love Hypothesis follows Olive, a PHD candidate who is unlucky in the love department. After her best friend starts dating her ex-boyfriend, she convinces a young professor named Adam to pretend to be her boyfriend.
Well Matched by Jen DeLuca
I’m always excited to be back in Willow Creek! After reading Well Met, I quickly fell in love with the characters and the Renaissance world. Thankfully, this newest addition is just as fun as the previous two books. Well Matched follows April, a single mom who is used to living life on her own terms. While preparing to sell her house, she enlists the help of Mitch, the life of the town. In return, April pretends to be Mitch’s girlfriend while visiting his family for the weekend.
