One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.
Smart. Responsible. That’s seventeen-year-old Breanna’s role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully’s line of fire — and brings fellow senior Thomas “Razor” Turner into her life.
Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don’t belong. But when he learns she’s being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them — a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness — he knows it’s time to step outside the rules.
And so they make a pact: he’ll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she’ll help him seek answers to the mystery that’s haunted him — one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they’re both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they’re going from here.
Walk the Edge Review
Walk the Edge is a really enjoyable contemporary romance. I didn’t know it was the second book in a series, but I still really enjoyed it.
Walk the Edge follows Breanna, a driven girl who is one of nine children. Breanna is blackmailed by a fellow student, which leads her to Razor – a member of the town’s motorcycle club. The two develop a really strong friendship and relationship in trying to sort out who is blackmailing her.
I enjoyed the characters in this book. Breanna is a sweet and driven girl. At first, I really didn’t like Razor. His bad boy image seemed so forced to me. But, as the story continued, I actually grew to like Razor more.
Throughout the book, Razor becomes protective of Breanna. And I think this helps to shed his forced bad boy image throughout the book. This growth really helped me enjoy his character more.
Breanna and Razor’s story isn’t very different from other young adult romance books. But their interactions with each other makes it somewhat unique. Katie McGarry captures your attention through their character interactions, which totally left me wanting more!
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I think some confusion with the book stems from me thinking Walk the Edge is a stand-alone book.
But, I definitely hope to pick up the other books in the series at some point. I’m sure it’ll help clear some confusion up because of past plot lines.
Overall, I definitely would recommend Walk the Edge! I think it is great as a stand alone book, and probably perfect as a series!
