Since Emma Lord’s first young adult release, I’ve always made her book the first book I read for the year. It’s become a little tradition of mine. The Getaway List is an adorable new release and I really enjoyed it! The Getaway List follows Riley, who realizes at her high school graduation that she’s not sure what she wants for her future. What she does know is she misses her childhood best friend Tom, who moved away. So, she decides to pack her bags and move to New York City to spend the summer with Tom and cross off all the items on their Getaway List.
You Have a Match by Emma Lord
After reading Tweet Cute last year, I immediately added You Have a Match to my TBR. Unfortunately, it didn’t really live up to my expectations and because of that, I’m really disappointed. You Have a Match follows Abby, who takes a DNA test and finds out she has a sister. The two decide to spend the summer together at camp because they want to figure out their family history.
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord Review
As soon as I heard about Tweet Cute, I’ve had a huge desire to read it. I’m so so happy that I enjoyed it as much as I did. Tweet Cute follows Pepper, who helps run the social media account for her family’s restaurant chain. A local restaurant accuses Pepper’s family restuarant of stealing their grilled cheese recipe and a Twitter war ultimately occurs.
