I’m so excited to share a list of 35 books I can’t wait to read in 2019! I’m always in shock when I sit down to write this post that another year is gone. But, with the start of a new year, comes some amazing new books. This post is all about the books releasing in 2019 that I’m personally looking forward to. Please note that some of these books are sequels, so avoid reading the synopsis because of spoilers!
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
After hearing about The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue for a while, I figured it was time I tried it. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters! The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue follows Monty as he embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe with his best friend Percy and his little sister, Felicity. But, their Grand Tour does not go according to plan!
The Ends of the World by Maggie Hall
The Conspiracy of Us series is such a fun and mysterious adventure. While The Ends of the World is the final book, it’s a great conclusion and I enjoyed every moment! The Ends of the World picks up after the events of Map of Fates. The series follows Avery, who discovers she actually belongs to a secret society called the Circle. The series is full of travel, adventure and mystery.
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
After reading most of Cassandra Clare’s books, I always question whether a new one will be as good as the last. But once again, she’s written an incredible book. Lord of Shadows picks up right after the events of Lady Midnight. The series follows Emma, Julian and the rest of the Blackthorns as they investigate mysterious murders.
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
I have quickly become a Sarah J Maas fan! Her writing and the worlds she creates are just so engrossing. Unfortunately, this one just fell so flat for me. Heir of Fire is the third book in the Throne of Glass series. It follows Celeana Sardothien as she competes to become the King’s Champion and personal assassin.
