June has come and gone — and I’m back with another late post, oops! I always think it’s better late than never, so here is my June 2024 reading wrap up!
As I mentioned in my previous wrap up, I’ve had a really busy year. Because of that, I’ve had to take a step back from my hobbies. But, I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things and I’m excited to be posting again!
In June, I read a total of seven books — two 2024 releases and five backlist titles. It was also a very romance heavy month, since that’s all that I read! With the warmer weather and my time up at the cottage, I really enjoyed getting lost in some lighthearted books.

June 2024 Reading Wrap Up
Wild Love by Elsie Silver. I’ve been wanting to pick up an Elsie Silver book for a while, and I finally did it! I decided to start with Wild Love since there’s a sequel releasing later this year. I absolutely loved this book — the characters, the romance, the small town setting. It was all fantastic and has me anxiously waiting for the next book in the series. I absolutely loved Elsie’s writing, which led me down a rabbit hole of reading her books!
Flawless by Elsie Silver. Immediately after finishing Wild Love, I jumped straight into the Chestnut Springs series and I’m so glad I did. Flawless is unlike anything I’ve ever read. I’ve never picked up a “cowboy romance” before and it completely changed my expectations of the genre. I really enjoyed the plot of this book and once again, it had great characters and fantastic writing.
Heartless by Elsie Silver. I really loved picking up Heartless, especially after reading Wild Love. It was nice to get the background on Willa. The romance was wonderful and I loved the relationship that Willa built with Cade and Luke.
Powerless by Elsie Silver. I think Powerless is one of my favourite books in this series. I wouldn’t say that friends-to-lovers is one of my favourite tropes. But, it really worked for me this time. I’m not sure if it was Elsie’s writing or her ability to write such powerful and relatable characters. Either way, I really loved this one!
Reckless by Elsie Silver. I think Reckless is my all time favourite book in the Chestnut Springs series. I absolutely loved the opportunity for Winter to redeem herself. And Theo is such a wonderful main character! Their story is so captivating and I definitely think it was the most satisfying to read in this series.
Hopeless by Elsie Silver. Hopeless is the book that everyone talks about in this series. While I loved this book, I think it was my least favourite of the series. When I say least favourite, it was still a high rated book for me — it’s just in comparison to some of the others in this series. It was really satisfying to see Beau get is happily ever after!
Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn. I’ve always enjoyed Meghan Quinn’s books, and this one is no different. While it’s not an all time favourite book by Meghan Quinn, it’s a fun and exciting read for summer. I always enjoy the romance and stories she creates and I’m excited to read the sequel when it releases!
