A new season is almost here and it’s the best time to curl up with brand new books. Here are ten books I hope to read in Fall 2023!
It’s hard to believe that the fall season is here. While it’s one of my favourite seasons, I can’t believe that we’re so close to the end of the year.
But, it happens to be a great time to curl up under a cozy blanket and read some books.
On this list, you’ll find ten books I hope to read in Fall 2023. From brand new releases to backlist titles, these are the books I’ll be making a priority to read this season.

Books I Hope to Read in Fall 2023
Go Hex Yourself by Jessica Clare. Go Hex Yourself is one of the books on this list that I wanted to read last year but didn’t get to. When the fall comes, it’s the perfect time to read some books with witches so I’m hoping to get to this one (and possibly the sequel) sometime soon.
Gods & Monsters by Shelby Mahurin. I absolutely loved Serpent & Dove but I didn’t finish the trilogy. With her new book releasing soon, I’m hoping to finally read Gods & Monsters and finish the series up. I just have to decide if I want to re-read the first two books to refresh my memory first or just jump straight into the final book.
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. After reading Fourth Wing, I’m dying to read Iron Flame. While the hype surrounding books sometimes disappoints me, this is one of those books that lived up to all my expectations. I have a feeling I’ll be dropping everything once my Iron Flame preorder arrives!
Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair. After signing up to Kindle Unlimited last year, I’ve been loving the sweet romantic comedies available through the service. Once I heard about the Sweater Weather series, I immediately knew the books would be on my fall TBR. While the entire series is definitely on my radar, the first book is Just Don’t Fall and I’ll be checking it out first!
The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young. I’m a big fan of Adrienne Young’s books and they are always a great choice during the fall season. The Girl the Sea Gave Back is the only book on her backlist that I haven’t read yet. I’m hoping to read this sometime soon so I’m all caught up. It’s also a bonus that it checks off one of my prompts for the Popsugar reading challenge.
The Nature of Witches by Rachel Griffin. I’ve been wanting to pick up this book for a while so I’m hoping to finally read it this fall. I feel like this is the season of witches for me and I’ve heard great things about this young adult fantasy, so here’s hoping it lives up to my expectations.
The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young. I am so excited to pick up Adrienne Young’s newest adult release. I already preordered a personalized signed copy to add to my collection. Spells for Forgetting had the perfect fall vibes so I’m expecting to feel the same with The Unmaking of June Farrow.
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. Another witch book on this list — can you tell that I’m in the mood for them? I’ve heard so many great things about this book and I feel like it will be the perfect cozy witch romance to pick up this fall.
Throne of the Fallen by Kerri Maniscalco. I’m so excited to pick up Kerri Manisalco’s next release! I really enjoyed her young adult series and thoroughly enjoyed the Kingdom of the Wicked series. Since the Kingdom of the Wicked series was more new adult, I’m really looking forward to seeing what her first adult book is like. Here’s hoping it will be a really great fantasy romance book!
Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey. Wreck the Halls is the only holiday book on this list and while it may be fall, I’m hoping to get a head start on some of them this year. I’m so excited to pick this one up — I really like Tessa Bailey’s books and the fact that this is a holiday book, makes me even more excited.
