One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus
After hearing such great things about Karen M McManus’ books, I finally read One of Us is Lying! One of Us is Lying follows a group of teenagers who all happen to be in detention. One of the characters dies and the rest of the teenagers become suspects in the investigation.
Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
After reading Alex Approximately, I immediately knew that Jenn Bennett would be a new favourite author for me. And Starry Eyes is no different. In fact, I loved it even more than Alex, Approximately!

ARC Review | The Ninth Sorceress by Bonnie Wynne
I’m a huge fan of both young adult fantasy and contemporary. But nothing beats a great fantasy read. I’m so happy that The Ninth Sorceress is one of those reads.
The Ninth Sorceress is a fantasy debut that follows a seventeen year old girl named Gwyn. Gwyn is a prisoner because her guardian is hiding her. People also happen to fear her, but she’s unsure of the reason. The Ninth Sorceress is a book full of self-discovery, magic and adventure!
One of the best aspects about this novel are the characters. I really enjoy Gwyn as a main character because she’s relatable. She’s really fierce and strong and I think her character growth throughout the book is great. I’m looking forward to seeing how she grows in the next book.
Blog Tour | The Grey Sisters by Jo Treggiari
Jo Treggiari certainly excels in creating suspenseful thrillers. I really enjoyed her previous book, Blood Will Out, and this one is no different.
The Grey Sisters follows D and Spider. They’re both navigating the loss of siblings after a terrible and unexpected plane crash. D, Spider and their friend Min decide to go on a road trip to seek answers to the crash and gain some closure. While on this trip, they meet Ariel – a girl who lives on the mountainside.
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Wow. This book. This book is just such a good debut. I first heard about this book at the Frenzy Presents event in August. I immediately pre-ordered the book and I’m so, so glad I did!
Serpent & Dove follows Lou, a witch hiding from her coven and the town’s witch hunters – The Chasseurs. It also follows Reid, a witch hunter who hunts and kills witches, with no questions asked. A series of events brings these two together, and chaos ensues!
Review | Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery
This book is charming and super adorable. It’s my absolute favourite classic novel and I think it’s one everyone should read at least once in their lifetime.
Anne of Green Gables follows Anne, a young orphan who is adopted by a brother and sister in Prince Edward Island, Canada. While they originally want a young boy to help with the farm, they quickly fall for Anne. She’s imaginative, creative and sometimes unrealistic, but incredibly loving.
