When Tessa Bailey releases a new book, I’m always excited to read it! Secretly Yours is another great rom-com from Tessa. While it’s not my absolute favourite, it’s still a fun and enjoyable book that I would recommend! Secretly Yours is the first in a new romantic comedy duology. It follows Hallie, who falls in love with Julian at the age of fourteen after an almost kiss.
Kit McBride Gets a Wife by Amy Barry
After hearing several friends talk about this book, I decided to pick it up. I am so glad I did because it is such a fun and entertaining romance! Kit McBride Gets a Wife is a western romance. It follows Junebug, who decides to put in a request for a mail order bride for her brother Kit. What she doesn’t expect is a mix-up with the ad answer.
Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory
After reading The Wedding Date, I’ve been a fan of Jasmine Guillory’s books. Her most recent release is just as fun as her other books — I really enjoyed it! Drunk on Love follows Margot who has an adorable meet-cute with Luke at a bar.
Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert
After reading Get a Life, Chloe Brown and the other books in the Brown Sisters series, I fell in love with Talia Hibbert’s stories. I’ve been patiently waiting for the release of her young adult debut. While I enjoyed it, I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would.
The Do-Over by Lynn Painter
After reading Lynn Painter’s debut, I’ve been patiently waiting for her next young adult book to release. While I wasn’t sure it could live up to my expectations, it exceeded them. I absolutely loved this book! The Do-Over follows Emilie, who wakes up on Valentine’s Day with a plan to have the best day.
Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter
There’s nothing better than a hilarious young adult rom-com. Better Than the Movies is all that and more — and is definitely one of my all-time favourite books. Better Than the Movies follows Liz, who has a constant rivalry with her neighbour Wes. When senior year roles around, her childhood crush Michael moves back to town. To get Michael to ask her to prom, she needs Wes’ help.
Begin Again by Emma Lord
Since Emma Lord’s debut, I’ve started each year reading her newest release. Begin Again is a really sweet contemporary romance that I really enjoyed. While Tweet Cute is still my favourite, Begin Again is a solid read.
Exes and O’s by Amy Lea
After reading Set on You last year, I really didn’t think Amy Lea’s next book could top it. I’m so glad I was wrong — because Exes and O’s is fantastic and it happens to be my first five star read of the year! Exes and O’s is the second book in The Influencer series. While it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel
After hearing so much about this books (and series) on Instagram, I finally gave it a try. I’m so glad I did because this book is a total delight! Faking Christmas follows Olive, a high school teacher heading to a Vermont inn with her family for Christmas. To avoid being set up with an ex, she lies and says shes dating her co-worker, Miles. But, it turns out that Miles’ family owns the Vermont inn and they’ll be spending Christmas together.
A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
I have been in such a holiday reading mood lately, which has been great. While I was incredibly excited to read A Merry Little Meet Cute, it was unfortunately a little bit of a let down for me. A Merry Little Meet Cute follows Bee, an adult film star who is cast as the lead role in a clean Christmas movie. While she’s excited for the opportunity, it also means hiding her adult film career. Her co-star also happens to be her teenage crush, Nolan Shaw.
A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
I’m a big fan of The Bromance Book Club series. The series as a whole is engaging and entertaining. While I’ve loved each book, A Very Merry Bromance is by far my favourite! A Very Merry Bromance is Colton’s love story. Colton is a successful musician but he’s struggling to release new music.
