New York Times bestselling author Jasmine Guillory makes her hardcover debut with a heartwarming Christmas romance.
Vivian Forest has been out of the country a grand total of one time, so when she gets the chance to tag along on her daughter Maddie’s work trip to England to style a royal family member, she can’t refuse. She’s excited to spend the holidays taking in the magnificent British sights, but what she doesn’t expect is to become instantly attracted to a certain Private Secretary and his charming accent and unyielding formality.
Malcolm Hudson has been the Queen’s Private Secretary for years and has never given a personal, private tour … until now. He is intrigued by Vivian the moment he meets her and finds himself making excuses just to spend time with her. When flirtatious banter turns into a kiss under the mistletoe, things snowball into a full-on fling.
Despite a ticking timer on their holiday romance, they are completely fine with ending their short, steamy fling come New Year’s Day … or are they?
Royal Holiday Review
It’s official — I will definitely read anything and everything that Jasmine Guillory writes.
Royal Holiday follows Maddie and her mom, Vivian, as they travel to England for Christmas so Maddie can style the Duchess. While there, Vivian meets Malcolm — the Queen’s Private Secretary. Their friendship quickly turns into a holiday romance.
I really enjoyed the characters in Royal Holiday. Vivian is just a sweetheart and her excitement for the holiday’s just jumps off the page. Jasmine Guillory has such a way with writing wonderful characters. Because of that, I always know I’m going to love them.
Malcolm is also a really great love interest. He has a really interesting job but loves that Vivian doesn’t like him because of it. Their conversations and little day dates are just so cute.
The plot is quite enjoyable in this one. Although I will say that I think the characters drive the story for me. I think it’s fun watching Vivian explore England all while experiencing a new friendship and relationship.
Overall, Royal Holiday is a really sweet holiday romance. With wonderful writing, cute characters and a fun plot, it’s the perfect book to curl up with at Christmas!
