Review
This is seriously the sweetest sequel to Anne Arrives.
Anne’s Kindred Spirits follows Anne after she arrives at Green Gables. This short chapter book follows Anne as she meets her new friend, Diana. It also shows Anne desperately trying to go to the town picnic and eat ice cream for the first time!
In these nine chapters, Kallie George quickly continues the classic Anne of Green Gables story. She captures the essence of the book and makes it easy to read and understand for younger readers. It’s really well written and totally engaging. It’s just all around adorable!
The illustrations in this book are just as beautiful as the first – if not more so. I love the introduction of Diana and her family. The illustrations make the story leap off the page.
I love this sequel and highly recommend continuing with this series for young readers. It really captures the original classic story in an adapted way.
