Queen of Air and Darkness Review
All good things must come to an end. Queen of Air and Darkness is such a fantastic conclusion to another Shadowhunter series!
Queen of Air and Darkness picks up right after the events of Lord of Shadows. The series follows Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn as they try and solve another mystery inside the Shadowhunter world.
I just have to gush about these characters one more time. I absolutely adore the Blackthorns so much, like with my whole heart! The entire family is just incredibly loveable, especially Ty. I love that we get to see so much more of Ty in this book that really helps develop the story. Emma and Julian are obviously just as great and I’m incredibly happy with their character arc!
Other characters I absolutely love are Kieran, Clary, Jace, Magnus, Alec, Simon and Isabelle. So basically, I love everyone.
I think that Queen of Air and Darkness is a great ending to the trilogy, overall. While there are parts that I wish were flushed out better, I’m still so happy. It’s difficult going into a book that is the end but I loved it so much.
Also, I just have to say that I love the illustrations that are sprinkled throughout the book! They are so gorgeous and totally add the overall story.
I’m incredibly sad that this trilogy is over but that means there are more Cassandra Clare books to look forward to! I’m so excited to read The Red Scrolls of Magic and Chain of Gold.
I just can’t recommend the Shadowhunter world enough. So if you haven’t read any books by Cassandra Clare, I highly recommend it!
