It’s the end of another month! So today, I’m sharing my October 2018 reading wrap up with you all!
Between the ARCs I have and some backlist books, I had a lot of options this month. Because of that, it happened to be one of my best reading months of the year!
A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir: This book is incredible! Actually, the entire series is fantastic and will forever be a favourite. I have no idea when the next book will release, but I’m already counting down the days!
When We Caught Fire by Anna Godbersen: While I was a fan of The Luxe, this one ultimately fell flat for me. It’s still enjoyable but I think my expectations were too high. Be sure to check out my review for more of my thoughts!
The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket: This is a great start to the classic middle grade series! I’m so happy to be reliving a childhood favourite. While it’s not my favourite in the series, it’s a great start. For more of my thoughts, check out my review!
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee: There’s been a lot of hype surrounding this book and I’m glad I finally read it! It’s a fun adventure and the characters are fantastic.
What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera: I absolutely adore this story. I really hope that Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera team up again because they completely compliment each other! Feel free to check out my full review!
A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi: This book is beautiful and heartwarming. It’s honestly one of the best books I’ve read all year. It’s incredibly timely and important. Everyone should read this book!
The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket: This is one of my favourites in A Series of Unfortunate Events. Uncle Monty always makes me laugh. If you’re curious for more of my thoughts, be sure to check out my review!
The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee: I went into this book with such high expectations because I adored Felicity in the first book. While this book started off enjoyable, it ultimately falls flat.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: I listened to this one over the course of the month on audio during my trips to the cottage. Overall, it’s an ok book. I preferred the movie and don’t really feel like I’ll continue with the series.
I hope you all enjoyed by October 2018 reading wrap up!
I’m happy with how many books I was able to read this month. Plus, a lot of them were four and five star reads – which is fantastic!
I hope November will be just as great of a reading month!
