Another month is done and even though I’m late, it’s time to share my May 2022 reading wrap up!
May was a really busy month for me — but in all the best ways. I spent two weeks in Florida visiting the Walt Disney World parks as well as the Universal Studios parks. It was the best vacation and I absolutely loved every minute of it.
Once I was back home, I spent a week at the cottage and then headed off to Ottawa for a friend’s wedding. It was definitely a busy month, and yet, I had a decent reading month!
I managed to read six books in May — four 2022 releases and two backlist books. It’s also clear that my contemporary romance streak is continuing, and I’m not mad about it — there’s been some great reads!

May 2022 Reading Wrap-Up
Book Lovers by Emily Henry: Another fabulous book by Emily Henry! I really enjoy Emily Henry’s romance books — they’re sweet and charming and this one is no different. I soaked up every moment and I’m so looking forward to the next one. While I still haven’t read Beach Read, I’m hoping to get to it sometime this summer and I know I’m going to love it.
The Dating Playbook by Farrah Rochon: After reading The Boyfriend Project in April, I quickly picked up the sequel. I really enjoyed Taylor’s story, probably more than I enjoyed Samiah’s. It’s just such a fun, lighthearted series with some girl power! I’m really looking forward to reading London’s story in August.
Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood: The first of two romance novella’s I picked up this month! While I really enjoyed The Love Hypothesis, I didn’t really love this novella. I enjoyed it and definitely think it’s cute but it didn’t draw me in as much as I hoped. That being said, I’m looking forward to reading the next novella in this series sometime soon!
Simmer Down by Sarah Smith: I’ve enjoyed all of Sarah Smith’s books that I’ve read and this one is no different. I loved the theme of cooking and food trucks in this one — it made it so enjoyable! The romance was solid and overall, it was a fun read.
The Love Connection by Denise Williams: I adored this novella by Denise Williams! It was quick, fast paced and oh-so sweet. The romance was adorable and I loved the characters. I can’t wait to pick up the next one when it releases as an e-book!
Set On You by Amy Lea: One of my most anticipated reads of the year turned out even better than I imagined! I’m so glad I loved this one — the Chris Evans vibes, the enemies-to-lovers, the body positivity!! It was such a wonderful book and I can’t wait to read Amy Lea’s next book, Exes and Oh’s next year!
