June is almost here — which means it’s time to share my May 2021 reading wrap up!
How are we already in the sixth month of 2021? I’m so excited for the warmer weather. The pool is open and cottage season is starting, which means more time to read outside! Plus, June is shaping up to be a wonderful month for new releases — be sure to check back tomorrow to add new books to your TBR!
Unfortunately, I didn’t have as great of a reading month as I did in April. Between my teacher librarian course and doing online schooling for my neighbour, things have been busy!
I managed to read four books this month — two re-reads and two brand new releases!

May 2021 Reading Wrap Up
Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson: I’m a big fan of Morgan Matson and I’ve been eagerly awaiting her newest release. Take Me Home Tonight is a fun contemporary that takes place over the course of one night in New York City! While it’s not my favourite Morgan Matson book, it’s still a fun read!
Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco: This is my first re-read of the month. Since my friend hasn’t read this series before, we’ve been buddy reading the books. It’s been so fun to be back with Audrey and Thomas. I really liked the mystery in this one. And it’s been so long, I kind of forgot most of it!
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry: I still haven’t read Beach Read. It’s been on my list since it released last year. But, I was able to read a digital arc of People We Meet on Vacation and it was great. I really loved it and now I can’t wait to finally read Beach Read this summer!
Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco: My last re-read of the month! I didn’t love this one as much the second time around. It’s magical and whimsical but Mephistopheles wasn’t as intriguing the second time as he was during my first read. But, I’m certainly looking forward to reading Capturing the Devil and finishing off this re-read!
