With the end of another month comes my May 2019 reading wrap up!
I managed to read quite a few books this month which has been great. I spent some time at the cottage which allowed for some time to just curl up and read. It’s always the best to have a great reading month!
Finale by Stephanie Garber: While this is a good end to the Caraval series, it’s not my favourite book. I adore these characters and the whole world. But the story feels like it’s missing something. Be sure to check out my review for all my thoughts!
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang: I absolutely loved The Kiss Quotient and couldn’t wait to read the sequel. This one is just as good of a read and is super sweet. Be sure to check out my review for more thoughts!
Birthday by Meredith Russo: I joined in on the Birthday blog tour with Raincoast Books and it was great! It’s a really great contemporary read that’s super insightful. Be sure to check out my stop on the blog tour!
When Summer Ends by Jessica Pennington: This is a good read when you just need an easy contemporary book. It’s not my favourite, and isn’t necessarily memorable, but it’s enjoyable nonetheless!
The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen: The Queen of contemporary is back with a new book! Sarah Dessen has always been an auto-buy author for me and her newest release does not disappoint! Be sure to check out my review for more thoughts!
Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey: I absolutely adored this contemporary romance. It’ll be one I highly recommend for a long time and will certainly re-read! The characters and the overall plot are just all so cute!
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson: This series is so popular and I finally started it! It’s not my favourite mystery, but it certainly left me curious for more. I really did love the flashbacks to the 1930s!
I’ll Be There For You by Kelsey Miller: I absolutely love the TV show Friends. I enjoyed reading this but it ultimately fell flat. I went into reading it expecting to find some more inside information and maybe some cast interviews, but no such luck.
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie: After reading Truly Devious, it was time to read my first Agatha Christie book. I enjoyed it so much that I really hope to read more of her mysteries in the future. The ending truly is surprising!
Well, that’s my May 2019 reading wrap up!
Overall, I’m happy with my reading! I got to read a great mix of ARCs, backlist and new releases.
Let me know down in the comments what you’re reading!
