The publisher kindly sent me a physical copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie’s lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp.
Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippy. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he’s all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculous — yet surprisingly helpful — assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they’re getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret … and it could demolish everything.
New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey returns with a unique, sexy romantic comedy about a young married couple whose rocky relationship needs a serious renovation.
Love Her or Lose Her Review
After reading Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey last year, I knew I would be reading more of her books. While the book was cheesy and cliche at times, it was really enjoyable. Love Her or Lose Her is no different!
Love Her or Lose Her follows Rosie and Dominic, a young married couple who both want more in their marriage. They ultimately decide to go to couple’s therapy to see if they can repair their marriage and achieve their dreams.
I really love Rosie’s character. She’s super sweet and adorable and really deserves so much. She sells perfume at the mall but desperately wants to be a chef, with her own restaurant. I love her determination and seeing her constant desire to chase her dreams. Because of this, I think she’s the heart of the story.
Dominic is also a good character and his love for Rosie is really evident. He’s a typical macho man but he shows his inner sensitivity, which is great. But, I didn’t love his character as much as I wanted to. Rosie really carries this book in my opinion.
If you go into this book thinking it will be a romance with some steamy scenes than this isn’t the book for you. Love Her or Lose Her is full of really steamy romance scenes, even more than the first book. But I think this actually showcases Rosie’s need for more substance in her marriage.
I absolutely love revisiting characters from the first book, especially Georgie and Travis. I’m so looking forward to the next book which will follow Bethany and Wes. I’m hoping it will be another great romantic comedy!
Overall, Love Her or Lose Her is a fun book with enjoyable characters and great writing. While I didn’t love it as much as the first book, I think it’s still a solid romance book that I would recommend.
