It’s the last day of June, which is crazy to think because it feels like June just started. With the end of the month, it’s time for me to share my June 2021 reading wrap up.
There has been some interesting weather lately. With a lot of cloudy and rainy days there have been perfect opportunities to curl up and read. But there have also been some warm and sunny days. So I’ve also gotten a lot of reading in by the pool!
I had a pretty decent reading month. I read a total of six books — four 2021 book releases, one 2020 release and one re-read. While it certainly isn’t my best reading month of the year, I think it shows that with the warmer weather, I’m going to get more reading in!

June 2021 Reading Wrap Up
Very Sincerely Yours by Kerry Winfrey: I’m a big fan of Kerry Winfrey’s books and I really enjoyed her newest release! It’s a super sweet and swoony romance featuring wonderful characters. It also has major Mister Roger’s vibes!
Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter: I absolutely loved every minute of this book. If you’re a fan of romantic comedies, you’re going to love Lynn Painter’s debut. I read it all in one day (it’s seriously that good)! It’s also made Lynn Painter a total auto-buy author for me!
Blackout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk and Nicola Yoon: These authors are so good on their own. But put them together, and they’re even better! I really enjoyed Blackout — it’s a wonderful book of interconnected stories that highlight diversity and inclusion. You can read my full review, here!
Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams: With the newest Bromance Book Club book releasing in July, it was time to read the third in the series. Once again, I really enjoyed Lyssa Kay Adam’s writing, characters and story. While I still think The Bromance Book Club is my favourite, this one is super fun too!
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert: I finally got around to reading the final Brown Sisters book! While this is probably my least favourite book in the series, I still really enjoyed it. Talia Hibbert is amazing at creating diverse romance stories that truly leave you wanting more.
Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco: I finally got to the final book in my re-read of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. Unfortunately, I didn’t love this book as much as I did the first time around. I’m not sure if it is because of my mood or what, but I just didn’t love it as much as before. Audrey and Thomas will still always be favourites and I still love the series!
Wendy Williams says
I’ve only read the first book of the Brown Sisters series, it was so good, I need to finish this series! Great list of books!
