It’s the end of another month so today I’m sharing my June 2018 reading wrap-up!
I’ve been in such a contemporary reading mood lately. Because of that, I’ve read a lot more books this month than usual. I’m hoping this reading streak continues into July!
Scythe by Neal Shusterman: While I didn’t love this book as much as everyone else, I still really enjoyed it. I look forward to continuing this series, especially after the ending! Neal Shusterman is a fantastic writer and I’m looking forward to more of his books.
Blood Will Out by Jo Treggiari: I’ve never really been someone who reads thrillers. But this month I joined in on the blog tour with PenguinTeen Canada and I really enjoyed it! It’s a really suspenseful book that makes me excited to try more thrillers out in the future.
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson: Morgan Matson recently came to Toronto to promote her newest book Save the Date. I decided to take the opportunity to read the books I haven’t read yet. Her debut book does not disappoint and just solidified my love for Morgan Matson.
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson: This book is definitely shaping up to be one of my favourite Morgan Matson books! I still think my favourite is The Unexpected Everything! It’s so heartfelt and tugs at all my heart strings!
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson: Another amazing book by Morgan Matson. I really loved the characters and overall plot of this one!
Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch: I really enjoyed Love & Gelato so I’ve been eagerly waiting to read the sequel. I have to say, it wasn’t as good as I was expecting it to be. It’s a cute story but not as good as I was hoping.
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir: I don’t know why it took me so long to read this book but I absolutely love it! It totally lived up to all of my expectations. I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the books in this series.
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang: I’m just going to come right out and say that I loved this book! While it’s certainly steamy, it’s just adorable. I really love Stella and Michael as characters and am super excited for The Bride Test.
Overall, I read a total of eight books this month. I definitely think my contemporary mood helped to bring my total number of books up! But I’m not complaining!
I hope you enjoyed my June 2018 reading wrap-up! Be sure to let me know what books you’ve read this month in the comments below.
