Even though we’re in the third month of the year, I’m finally ready to get back to posting on the blog. So with that, comes my January 2022 reading wrap up!
The start of 2022 has been a very chaotic time. I started a short term teaching position (with very little notice) in the middle of January and officially finished on March 1st. Needless to say, my blog and my reading suffered, while transitioning to this new position!
But, I’m officially back to my normal schedule and I’m SO excited to get back into posting regularly.
While I ended 2021 with some great reading, my January reading really suffered. I managed to read three books — one 2021 release and two 2022 books.

January 2022 Reading Wrap Up
When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord: Since Emma Lord’s first book, I’ve started the year with her newest release. This one was a great start to 2022! I really enjoyed it, especially since You Have a Match was a flop for me. I loved the characters, the Mamma Mia vibes and the overall premise of finding yourself.
Love, Lists & Fancy Ships by Sarah Grunder Ruiz: I’ve been wanting to read this book since it was announced and I finally read it! It was a really enjoyable story — although it was quite different from the rom-com I originally thought it would be. There is a lot more depth to this story and is mostly rooted in grief. While this was surprising for me, it was a pleasant surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon: After reading The Ex-Talk, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the release of Weather Girl. This one is just as adorable as her first adult romance and I ended up really enjoying it!

I’m starting to feel that chaos. I’ve just started a short/medium-term supply SEN TA position, also with very little notice (literally the day before!), and I’m struggling to both read and create blog content. I’m glad it has settled down for you so I hope the same will be for me too.
