The first month of the year is done and today I’m sharing my January 2019 reading wrap up with you all!
I managed to sneak in a lot of reading this month! Between school, supply teaching and life in general, I think I read a lot for a busy month!
Forget You by Jennifer Echols: I really enjoyed this book – just as much as the first time. It’s a somewhat predictable romance but totally worth it! For more of my thoughts, be sure to check out my review.
The Wicked King by Holly Black: I didn’t love The Cruel Prince as much as everyone else so I went into this book with hesitation. But I loved it so much and that cliffhanger has me counting down the days to book three!
Only a Breath Apart by Katie McGarry: This was my second Katie McGarry book and I did enjoy it. It’s a darker contemporary but it was enjoyable overall. You can check out my review for more thoughts!
The Light Over London by Julia Kelly: I thoroughly enjoyed this book! From the minute I started reading it, it totally sucked me in. I definitely will be looking for more of her books in the future. For all my thoughts, take a look at my review!
By Your Side by Kasie West: One of my goals this year is to read more of Kasie West’s books. I just love her writing and stories because they’re perfect fluffy reads! The representation of anxiety in this one is great too!
Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers: I read this one for the blog tour with Raincoast Books. While I didn’t love it, it’s still an enjoyable read. I think if I read the previous trilogy my thoughts would be different. Be sure to check out my review and Q&A with Robin!
The Field Guide to North American Teenager by Ben Philippe: This is a really solid debut book! It’s incredibly funny and extremely relatable. It shows you that sometimes you need to let go of your inner thoughts and enjoy life!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas: Even though I have so many other books to read, I was in the mood for a re-read! I’m so glad I did because I totally fell in love with this series all over again. I’m already in the middle of A Court of Mist and Fury, which also happens to be the best book ever, and am so happy to just go with my gut! Be sure to check out my review!
Overall, I’m super happy with my January 2019 reading wrap up! I’m just hoping that February will go just as well!
Be sure to let me know in the comments which books you enjoyed most this month!

I honestly enjoyed it much more than the first book. It’s still not my favourite series, but Holly Black sure knows how to leave things on a cliffhanger! Happy reading!

You got so much reading in last month, that’s awesome!!! I honestly didn’t realize that Courting Darkness was essentially a spin-off series… I might try to read the original trilogy first. Happy reading this month, Victoria!

I did! And I’m honestly shocked haha. So far February isn’t as good, but that’s ok! And yes, I definitely recommend that. I think if I had done so, I may have enjoyed Courting Darkness more! Happy reading, Kaleena 💜
