It’s hard to believe that the shortest month of the year is over, and it’s time to share my February 2025 reading wrap-up!
Just like in January, February was a slower reading month for me. There’s so much to do and not enough time to do it all, so my reading sometimes takes a backseat.
While my reading wasn’t as good as I had hoped this month, I’m still pleased with what I did pick up!
I read four books in February — three backlist books and one new release. I have March Break in a couple of weeks, so hopefully, I will manage to get more reading done in March!

February 2025 Reading Wrap Up

Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. After finishing my reread of Fourth Wing last month, I immediately jumped into my reread of Iron Flame. I was hoping I would enjoy this one more the second time around, but I still think Fourth Wing was better for me. While I planned to pick up Onyx Storm right after, I needed a little bit of a break. Also, I’ve been hearing conflicting thoughts about it, so I wanted to jump into it with a fresh mind. Hopefully, I’ll pick it up in March!
Woke Up Like This by Amy Lea. I’ve wanted to read this one for a while, and when I snagged a copy at my library, I decided to give it a go! I really liked it! It’s a cute little rom-com that definitely gives off 13 Going on 30 vibes. The characters are fun, and I enjoyed the magical realism element. I’ve always enjoyed Amy Lea’s books, and this one is no different!

The Favorites by Layne Fargo. I heard so many great things about The Favorites that I added it to my radar of books to read eventually. When my book club chose it for our February read, I got to it much sooner than I planned. The hype around this book is definitely warranted because I really enjoyed it! I loved the documentary and interview elements woven throughout. The characters are intriguing, and the plot is really great. Overall, my book club loved it, so I think it’s definitely worth checking out!
Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeny. My book club considered Rock Paper Scissors as a potential read for January. It didn’t get picked, but I found it at the library and decided to give it a try. While I don’t think it was the best thriller I’ve ever read, I did enjoy it! There were a few moments that I wasn’t able to predict, which is always good in a mystery. I really loved Alice Feeny’s writing, so I’m looking forward to picking up more of her books in the future!
