I can’t believe the end of the month is here and it’s time for me to share my February 2024 reading wrap up!
I definitely say this every month, but time is just going by so quickly! It’s hard to believe that another month is finished and we’re starting the third month of the year!
While my reading was all over the place in February, I’m still happy with what I accomplished.
I also joined a local book club and attended my first meeting in February! We read The Seven Year Slip and I absolutely loved it. While my book club was split down the middle in terms of who enjoyed it and who didn’t, we had a great time discussing the book and socializing in general.
I’m so glad I joined this book club — if you’re thinking of joining one, this is your sign to try it!
In February, I read seven books — two brand new releases and five backlist titles. I’m excited to see what kind of reading I get up to in March!

February 2024 Reading Wrap Up
The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young. I’ve read all of Adrienne Young’s books except for two. The Girl the Sea Gave Back was the only young adult book I needed to read. Unfortunately, I did not love this one. I usually fall in love with the worlds she creates and the characters. But, this one completely fell flat for me. I’m so disappointed but I’m glad I can finally mark it as complete.
My Phony Valentine by Courtney Walsh. I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while. I’m so glad I finally picked it up! It was the cutest small town romance that was perfect for Valentine’s Day! I really loved the characters and the romance was swoon-worthy. I’m so excited to pick up My Lucky Charm this month! It’s also available on Kindle Unlimited, which makes it really easy to pick up!
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. I’ve been hearing so many things about the Divine Rivals duology, I had to pick it up! I’m so glad I did because I loved it. Divine Rivals was the perfect mix of fantasy and romance and I just devoured the entire story. I loved these characters so much and I just couldn’t stop reading. I definitely think this one lived up to the hype for me!
Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross. Immediately after I finished Divine Rivals, I jumped into the sequel. I also loved this one. But, I didn’t love it as much as the first book. Overall, I really loved that it was a duology and everything wrapped up quickly. I definitely think this duology is something I’ll be recommending to friends.
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston. I’ve been wanting to read The Seven Year Slip for a while. It happened to be the first pick for my book club and I really loved it. I loved the writing and the premise — it definitely had The Time Traveler’s Wife vibes. Now I’m excited to pick up Ashley Poston’s other books!
The Catch by Amy Lea. I really enjoyed all the books in The Influencer series, so I was excited to pick this one up! The Catch is a great end to the series! I loved the characters, the grumpy sunshine trope and the romance. The Canadian setting is definitely a bonus too! I’m really excited to see what Amy Lea releases next!
Happily Never After by Lynn Painter. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Lynn Painter — at this point, I’ll read her grocery list. Happily Never After is a great new romance release from her. It’s fun and has such a great premise to it. I also love the humour she brings to her books, it’s always so much fun!

I loved reading your thoughts on the books by Poston, Lea, and Painter. Those are all authors I enjoy. If you haven’t read The Dead Romantics yet, that would be my recommendation to read next by Poston. I also really loved Lea’s YA debut.
