We’re coming to the end of 2017, which is so crazy to me! Time is flying by so quickly. So today, I thought I’d share my top five favourite books of 2017!
I really found my reading groove this year. I found new authors and genres to read. It’s just been a blast. But this makes it hard to narrow down my favourite books. There’s so many amazing books I read this year alone!
Once and for All by Sarah Dessen: I’m a huge Sarah Dessen fan because her books are always enjoyable. While the plot of her novels follow similar patterns, I just love the ease that comes along with reading her books. Once and for All is the perfect summer contemporary and I’m so glad I picked it up. The characters and the writing made for a great read.
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall: Since this book sat on my shelf for a while, I figured it was time to pick it up. The Conspiracy of Us is the perfect mix of action, adventure and romance. It’s one of those books that has so much adventure, but also doesn’t require a ton of focus and attention. It made for an easy book to pick up and put down. I’ve already read the sequel, Map of Fates, and am super excited to complete the series sometime soon!
Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham: As a huge fan of Gilmore Girls, this autobiography was a must read for me! I’m so glad I finally read this book. I devoured it in one sitting! I love Lauren Graham’s charming and witty humour. Her stories are engaging and I absolutely adore hearing all about the Gilmore Girls reboot! It’s wonderful to hear her love for a character I hold dear to my heart!
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare: Cassandra Clare is one of my favourite authors. I adore The Infernal Devices series but I love all her books. Lady Midnight had a slow start, which is shocking to me. The Shadowhunter world usually sucks me in really quickly. But, Lady Midnight is amazing and a perfect start to a new trilogy. I can’t wait to jump into Lord of Shadows soon!
Caraval by Stephanie Garber: Oh my goodness this book. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more. It’s full of magic, whimsical adventure and adorable romance. I highly recommend this book! I cannot wait to read Legendary in 2018!
I’m so excited for all the amazing books I’ll read in 2018. But for now, those are my top five favourite books of 2017!
Be sure to share you favourite books with me in the comments!
