We’ve made it to the end of the year and I’m wrapping up another year of reading. Since it’s the last day of the year, it’s the perfect time to share my December 2022 reading wrap up.
I can’t believe today is the last day of the year. This year has been a year of highs and lows but I’m excited for the fresh start that a new year brings.
I’m also excited for another great year of books!
In December, I read a total of seven books — six 2022 releases and one backlist book.
It was a really great reading month and I’m happy with the books I got to. I also managed to hit my Goodreads reading goal for the year, which is always a nice bonus!

December 2022 Reading Wrap Up
A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone. While I was originally really excited to read this book, it was a little bit of a disappointment for me. There are a lot of things I enjoyed — the body positivity, the premise of the story, the writing. But the romance was a bit disappointing. Overall, I definitely would pick up another book by these authors but I wish I loved A Merry Little Meet Cute a little bit more.
Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca. I really love the Well Met series. The books are so much fun and I love the crossover of characters. Well Traveled was another great addition to the series and I enjoyed it the whole way through. While I still think the first book is my favourite, I definitely enjoyed this one too!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I finally did it — I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t read this sooner — it was such a great read. It’s definitely going in my top ten books of the year. I just loved the writing and the entire storyline. I’m so glad I finally found the time to read it!
A Newport Christmess by Jess Heileman. After reading Faking Christmas in November, I had to read more boks in the Christmas Escape series. I just love this series so much and A Newport Christmess was another five star read for me. I loved the characters and the romance is perfection. Definitely something I can see myself re-reading in the future. It’s also available on Kindle Unlimited.
Cotswolds Holiday by Kasey Stockton. After A Newport Christmess, I jumped right into reading Cotswolds Holiday. I just adored this one too! The setting is definitely a bonus in this book and I loved the growth that the characters experience. This series in general is just so much fun and I can’t wait to read the other books around the holidays next year! It’s also available on Kindle Unlimited.
Saint by Adrienne Young. My signed copy of Saint arrived later than anticipated. But I finally got to read it! It was everything I wanted and more. I just love the world that Adrienne Young has created and I’m so happy we get a glimpse into the life of Saint and Isolde before the events of Fable. Another five star read for me!
Resting Scrooge Face by Meghan Quinn. I wanted to read one more quick holiday book so I decided to pick up Resting Scrooge Face. It was super short and super sweet! Definitely a cute little novella for the holiday season!
How was your reading in December? What books did you read? I’d love to hear!
