And just like that, the end of December is here and it’s time to share my December 2021 reading wrap up!
I wanted to end my reading year strong, and try and get to 70 books. I’ll hit that goal as long as I complete my current read by tonight, which I’m confident I will.
While November was a pretty slow reading month for me, my December reading really picked up. I managed to read seven books — five 2021 releases and two 2022 releases!
I’m really looking forward to starting fresh in January and kicking off the new year with some great new reads. On my list to read first is When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord and jumping into my ARC of The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka!

December 2021 Reading Wrap Up
The Wedding Ringer by Kerry Rea: I’ve been waiting for this book to release since I heard about it. It was such a fun read to kick off December with, and overall, I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t as amazing as I had hoped, but I’m excited to read more from Kerry Rea in the future!
Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey: I absolutely adore Tessa Bailey, and her newest release is super enjoyable! I love that she released a holiday themed romance because it was the perfect December read. It has great main characters and overall, it’s a fun story!
You’ll Be the Death of Me by Karen M McManus: One of my favourite young adult mystery authors delivered another great book. I really enjoyed You’ll Be the Death of Me — there’s suspense, a great trio of characters, and I didn’t quite see the twist coming. All things I look for in a mystery!
The Fastest Way to Fall by Denise Williams: This was my first Denise Williams book and won’t be my last! This was such a cute story and I absolutely adored these characters. Wes and Britta are adorable on their own but so much cuter together. I love the body positivity in this one too!
The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon: I finally got around to reading The Ex Talk and I really enjoyed it! It was the perfect lighthearted romance I was looking for. I’m excited to jump into my ARC of Weather Girl sometime soon — I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it just as much!
Serendipity: Ten Romantic Tropes Transformed by Marissa Meyer: My first 2022 book release! I’m not the biggest anthology reader but I really enjoyed this one! It’s full of super sweet stories that focus on a particular romance trope. I’m glad that my first 2022 book release was a good one!
As Seen On TV by Meredith Schorr: While I haven’t finished this one at the time of writing this post, I plan to be finished before midnight! I’m really loving this one so far (it comes out in June 2022 so you’ll have to wait a while). The characters are great so far and the pop culture references are so perfect!
