The other day, I was invited to an after hours shopping event at my local Chapters store. So today I’m sharing my Chapters Indigo Members Night book haul!
The members only night is by invitation only and gives members an opportunity to shop for two hours after the store closes. It also gives you 30% off of your purchase!
Since I’m frequently visiting my local Chapters store, I jumped at the chance to go. I told myself I might pick up a few books, but of course I picked up more!
I ended up leaving the store with eight new books! A lot of these books I found on the bargain shelf, so I really did save a lot of money at this event. I personally enjoy hardcover, so I’m happy that I walked out of the store with eight hardcovers for $50.
Blood Red Road by Moira Young: Although I haven’t heard much about this book, the synopsis sounds really intruging. The cover gives it a really big dystopian feel, so I’m looking forward to giving it a try!
Dread Nation by Justina Ireland: This is a fairly new release that I bought during this event. I’m excited to read it because I’ve heard some great things. I’m hoping the combination of history and zombies is a great mix!
Front Lines by Michael Grant: I really enjoyed reading Gone by Michael Grant. While I didn’t finish the series, I am curious to try another series by him. Here’s hoping it isn’t a repeat where I enjoy the first book and can’t read the rest!
Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith: The fact that this book is a young adult contemporary romance is enough to sell me. I’ve heard some great things about Jennifer E Smith and because of that, I’m excited to give her a try!
That Inevitable Victorian Thing by E.K. Johnston: The synopsis of this book is super intriguing! It’s a book about the British royals but set in a futuristic world. I’m curious to see if it’s as entertaining as it sounds.
The Calling by James Frey and Nils Johnson Shelton: This is a totally random buy for me because I’ve never heard of this series before. But, I’m hoping it will be a really epic science fiction read. I have heard some mixed thoughts so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it.
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw: This is another new release and definitely a cover buy. It’s such a beautiful cover and the fact that it deals with witches is enough to draw me in!
Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley: This book sounds so interesting! It’s based on the Bronte sisters and definitely gives it a twist!
I hope this post gives you a small glimpse into the Chapters Indigo Members Night! If you ever get invited, I highly recommend going. It’s a really fun experience!
