Even with Rafael’s tricks, they need to work together since they’re not the only people looking for the lost city. It’s the perfect romantic combination of Indiana Jones and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

The Path to Loving Him by Meghan Quinn

I am so excited to pick up the next book in the Almond Bay series by Meghan Quinn. This new addition to the series is a forced proximity, single-dad romantic comedy set in a small town. I’m so excited to see how Ryland’s story plays out. One thing is for certain, if Meghan Quinn writes it, it will be a page-turning romance!

Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter

When Lynn Painter releases a book, it’s immediately on my list of books to read. Accidentally Amy was originally released on Kindle Unlimited in 2022 and was an instant success. Now, it’s being re-released in this brand-new edition with bonus content, including a dual point of view. I’ve already read and loved this story, but I’m excited to pick up this refreshed version.

I don’t think it’s any surprise that Onyx Storm is on this list, especially with the popularity of Fourth Wing. Onyx Storm picks up right after the events of Iron Flame. The series follows Violet, who joins an elite war college for dragon riders. It’s an action-packed series with sizzling romance that you need to pick up if you haven’t already!

She Doesn’t Have a Clue by Jenny Elder Moke

She Doesn’t Have a Clue is an upcoming release that’s half mystery and half romance. It follows Kate, who attends her ex-fiancés wedding on a private island off the coast of Seattle. When someone poisons the bride and Kate finds a dead body, she works with Jake, her biggest romantic regret, to find the killer. This one sounds like it will be such an entertaining read!

Spiral by Bal Khabra

When she rants to a handsome stranger, she realizes that they are going to the same wedding and he happens to be the best man. Ada has no choice but to work with Jack to try and make it to Belfast in time for the wedding. It sounds like it will be such a fun book with hilarious moments and cute romance.

Yin Yang Love Song by Lauren Kung Jessen

I’m always excited to pick up a new release from Ali Hazelwood, even though I am technically behind — oops! Deep End is a steamy college romance that follows a competitive diver and an ace swimmer. Even though I love Ali Hazelwood’s STEM romance books, I’m excited to read a sports romance from her.

Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey

Dream Girl Drama is the next book in the Big Shots romance series by New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey. When professional hockey player Sig’s car breaks down, he ends up at a country club where he meets Chloe. They’re immediately enamoured with each other and plan to see each other soon. This is so different from what I usually read but it’s by Tessa Bailey, which means I’ll be reading it!

Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett

Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales is the third book in the Emily Wilde series. The series follows Emily, a professor who goes to a small town to study faerie folklore but discovers dark fae magic along the way. There’s magic, friendship and romance throughout the first two books, and I know this third book will be no different.

When Finn is attacked by dark creatures, Wren uses her magic to save him. So, they must work together and navigate their growing feelings for each other, to save their kingdom.

Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave by Elle Cosimano

I’m so excited to pick up the next book in the Finlay Donovan series! If you like cozy mysterious with lots of humour and charming main characters, then this is the series for you. The series follows Finlay, a struggling author who someone mistakes as a contract killer while she’s discussing the plot of her next novel. It’s a hilarious series that highlights the mishaps in Finlay’s life as she deals with the domino effect of real-life crime.

Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone

Promise Me Sunshine is an upcoming slow-burn romance by Cara Bastone, author of Ready or Not. It follows Lenny, who is grieving the loss of her best friend. When she lands a job helping a single mother with her daughter Ainsley, she meets Ainsley’s uncle Miles, who happens to be a bit of a grump. I’m really looking forward to reading this one, especially since I’m visiting Scotland this year. The catch: her mentor’s nephew Jack, a nature photographer, will guide her on the trail. It all sounds great except for the fact that he happens to be the one to ruin her writing career and break her heart, years ago. As they hike the trail together, they must deal with old feelings and confront issues from their past.

The Love Simulation by Etta Easton

The Ragpicker King by Cassandra Clare

Even though I haven’t read Sword Catcher yet, I’m still excited to pick up the sequel. Cassandra Clare really got me into reading young adult fantasy as a teen so I’m excited to read an adult series from her. I have not read any summaries of these two books so I can go in without expectations. I just know this will be an epic high fantasy series and if it’s anything like her young adult books, it’ll be captivating the whole way through!

Wild Side by Elsie Silver

After diving into the world of Elsie Silver’s books last year, there’s no way I would miss her next release! Wild Side is the third book in the Rose Hill series and I’m so excited to read it (I’m eagerly waiting for my pre-order!). This new addition to the series follows Tabby and Rhys as they enter into a marriage of convenience. After glimpses of these two characters in the previous book, I’m excited to see where their love story takes us!

Fan Service by Rosie Danan

Fan Service is the upcoming paranormal romantic comedy from Rosie Danan, bestselling author of The Roommate. It follows Alex, an outcast who builds an online fan forum for a long-running werewolf detective show she loves. But, she has a secret: she doesn’t like the show’s star, Devin. I still need to catch up on this series but that doesn’t mean I’m not excited to read the next book. The Strawberry Patch Pancake House is the fourth book in the Dream Harbor series, which is perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls. This book follows Archer, a single dad and renowned chef who moves back to Dream Harbor to run the pancake restaurant and raise his daughter, Olive. While there, he hires Iris as a nanny for Olive and as they spend more time together, they realize there might be something more. It also helps that Olive wants to play matchmaker.

Just Our Luck by Denise Williams

If Denise Williams releases a new romance book, I will always read it! Just Our Luck follows Sybil, who bounces from job to job and man to man. After buying a lottery ticket, she goes to a late-night donut store where she meets Kiran. It sounds like it will be a mixture of science-fiction with urban fantasy and the description of the characters sounds so gripping.

Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez

I am so excited for Abby Jimenez’s next romance, as I’m sure a lot of you are! It follows Samantha, who thinks she’s finally found the perfect guy until he opens his mouth and says something entirely wrong. Samantha wants to prove him wrong unless he can admit his mistake. After an incredible date, she realizes it’s not the right time to pursue a relationship so she asks Xavier to forget her. But no amount of time or distance is enough for them to forget each other.

Bridesmaid by Chance is the third book in the Bridesmaid for Hire series by Meghan Quinn. Each book follows a woman as they fall in love and work as a fake bridesmaid. This third book follows Hudson who hires his business partner’s young sister as his assistant. This book is so different from what I normally pick up. But I couldn’t resist! Murder by Cheesecake is the first in a Golden Girls mystery series. When Dorothy’s date is found dead in a hotel freezer, it interrupts the elaborate wedding Rose is hosting. Along with Blanche and Sophie, the girls team up to find the real killer. It sounds like the perfect cozy mystery and I’m so intrigued by it!

Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage

Wild and Wrangled is the fourth book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series that is perfect for fans of small-town romance books. It follows Camille, who wants to get married to help build her own life. When the groom doesn’t show up at the wedding, she needs to find a new place to live. The only problem: the neighbour is Dusty, a man from her past. It sounds like it will be a fantastic second-chance romance and I’m so excited to pick it up.

I am so excited for Emily Henry’s next romance! As soon as I heard about Serial Killer Games, I immediately added it to my list of books to read. Digging Dr. Jones by Olivia Jackson

Digging Dr. Jones is another adventure rom-com on this list. It follows Adriana, who puts a bracelet on with gems. Once it’s on, she’s faced with two problems: the bracelet is for archaeologist Andrew Jones and no matter how hard she tries, the bracelet will not come off. Since Andrew needs the bracelet to find lost treasure, he lets Adriana join him on his journey. It’s perfect for fans of adventure, forced proximity and opposites-attract romance.

I am so excited to read One Golden Summer — I think this might be my most anticipated book of the year. When she returns years later, she reconnects with Charlie and realizes that she sees people through a lens all the time, but it’s rare they see her back.

The Retirement Plan sounds like it’s going to be such a fun and engaging story. It’s pitched as Legally Blonde and Jury Duty meets The Real Housewives — and if you know me, I love all three which means this will be the perfect book for me. It follows Sydney, who’s looking forward to serving jury duty, especially when the case involves a cast member from a hit reality show. But, sequestered jury duty isn’t as fun as she thinks when she learns her childhood best friend Damon, who she hasn’t seen in years, is also a member.

Left of Forever by Tarah DeWitt

Tarah DeWitt’s books have the most stunning covers and the most captivating stories inside them. Left of Forever follows Wren and Ellis, who fell in love as children and had their son Sam in their teen years. Divorced in the thirties, they live separate lives even though they are constantly on each other’s minds. When Sam heads to college, the two help move him in, which gives Ellis an opportunity to convince Wren to take a road trip back hom to give their relationship another chance. It sounds like the perfect mixture of forced proximity and second-chance romance.

I think this will be the perfect summer love story, especially with the enemies-to-lovers trope!

I have not read any books by Annabel Monaghan yet, but I’m hoping this will be my first. When she lies to get her first project greenlit, she must work with Dan, the last man she wants to owe, in order to make everything right.

Manic Pixie Dream Earl by Jenny Holiday

Even though I need to catch up on Kate Spender’s most recent release, I’m still excited to pick up her next book! All’s Fair in Love and Pickleball is an upcoming grumpy-sunshine romance about a young woman who desperately wants to win a pickleball competition against her longtime rival. It sounds so fun and I’m really looking forward to reading it.

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Atmosphere is the next book by New York Times bestselling author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It follows Joan, a professor of physics and astronomy who she sees an advertisement looking for female scientists to join NASA’s Space Shuttle program and immediately applies. I am so excited to pick this one up!

Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady

Battle of the Bookstores sounds like it will be the perfect story for book lovers! It follows Josie and Ryan, two bookstore managers who rarely interact with one another. When the new owner of both stores decides to combine the two, they are immediately in competition since there will only be one manager. It all comes down to who turns the most profit over the summer. I’m really looking forward to picking this one up, especially with the rivals-to-lovers trope!

Desperate, Scottie asks her best friend for help and it comes in the form of her best friend’s improv-obssessed brother, Wilder. It sounds so fun and I really can’t wait to read this one!

Worth Fighting For reimagines Mulan’s story and when combined with Jesse Q. Sutanto’s writing, I guarantee it’ll be a delightful book.

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil is the next book by New York Times bestselling author V.E. Schwab. It follows three women whose stories tangle like roots, in three different time periods: 1532, 1837 and 2019. In addition to the three time periods, it also has three locations: Santo Domingo de la Calzada, London and Boston. While I don’t know a lot about this book, I do know it has vampires, and that on it’s own is enough for me to pick it up!

Never Been Shipped by Alicia Thompson
