With each new year, the new young adult book releases just get better and better! So today, I’m sharing 15+ books I can’t wait to read in 2018!
There are so many books I’m looking forward to reading this year if I’m being honest. So narrowing down the list is a little hard. I think next year, I’m going to go all out and post as many books as I want!
These books are all in order of their release date!
15+ Books I Can’t Wait to Read in 2018!
Say You’ll Remember Me by Katie McGarry: I read my first Katie McGarry book recently and I’m looking forward to trying another one out! Say You’ll Remember Me is another contemporary romance that brings two unlikely people together. It really does remind me of Walk the Edge so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it!
The Upside of Falling by Rebekah Crane: We all know by now that I’m a sucker for contemporary books. And this one looks super adorable! I love the Irish setting and it sounds like it has the sweetest romance!
Tempests and Slaughter by Tamora Pierce: I’ve heard that Tamora Pierce is the Queen of fantasy. But I haven’t read any of her books before! PenguinTeen Canada kindly sent me an advance copy of this one so I’m excited to dive in! Here’s hoping I have a new go-to fantasy author.
Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman: I haven’t heard much about this book recently. Once again, PenguinTeen Canada sent me an advance copy so it certainly picqued my interest. I’m excited to see if it’s as good as the synopsis makes it out to be!
The Beauty that Remains by Ashley Woodfolk: I love contemporary books. But I don’t often read contemporary books with a heavy link to grief. I’m not sure if this is one that I’ll love, but I’m curious enough to give it a go!
Lost Crow Conspiracy by Rosalyn Eves: While I haven’t read the first book in this series, I’m curious. I’m hoping to get to it soon and then dive into the sequel. PenguinTeen Canada sent me an advance copy of this one as well!
The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth: I really enjoyed the first two books in the Divergent series. Let’s not get me started on Allegiant though! While I haven’t read the first book in this duology, I think it’s going to be great. I’m hoping to get to both sometime this year. I’m ready for Veronica Roth to give a wild ride in this new series!
Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch: I am SO excited for this one. I absolutely adored Love & Gelato so I’m hoping I feel the same. Love & Luck is set in Ireland which is high on my bucket list of places to go. I’m so excited to get to this one as soon as it releases!
War Storm by Victoria Aveyard: I haven’t read King’s Cage yet, but I’ve enjoyed the series so far. I just love Victoria Aveyard’s writing – it’s so descriptive and vivid! I’m hoping this will be an epic end to this series!
Legendary by Stephanie Garber: Quite honestly, Legendary is probably my most anticipated read for 2018. Caraval was an incredibly beautiful book and I loved every moment of it. I can’t wait to see the magic continue in the sequel.
Save the Date by Morgan Matson: I really, really love Morgan Matson. She’s definitely a go-to contemporary author for me. Especially after reading The Unexpected Everything. I can’t wait for this release – it looks like it will be really fun!
My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows: Ah, another series I haven’t quite started yet but I’m excited for the sequel. I’ve heard that even though this is a series, it can be read as stand-alone books, so we’ll see which one I read first. I think I’ll love this one!
The Towering Sky by Katharine McGee: While I’ve read The Thousandth Floor, I haven’t read the second book. Clearly, I have a pattern here! I’m hoping to really enjoy the rest of this series, especially since the first book was just okay for me.
In Another Time by Caroline Leech: I’m a fan of historical fiction so I’m looking forward to this one. The premise sounds so intriguing and I’m always excited to try new authors. Plus, the cover for this book is absolutely beautiful!
The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee: Once again, I haven’t read the first book in this series. But I’ve heard so many amazing things about it! I think the girl-power in this book will be fun to witness!
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare: Oh, Cassandra Clare. She will always be one of my favourite authors. I can’t wait for another book in the Shadowhunter world. Plus, I already know this is going to be an epic conclusion to The Dark Artifices series!
There are obviously so many books I can’t wait to read in 2018. Narrowing them down gives you some idea of what I’m excited to read this year!
