I just can’t believe how fast this year is going! Since this month is coming to an end, it’s time to share my August 2022 reading wrap up.
What a month! I went into this month hoping to have a great reading month. While I didn’t read a lot of books, I still think it was a good reading month because I enjoyed everything I read.
I’m currently up at the cottage for another two week stay so I’m hoping to catch up on some reading and hopefully get a good number of books in for September!
In August, I read a total of three books — two 2022 releases and one 2021 release.
While I wish I was able to read more this month, I’m happy that I completed three books during all the crazy things going on in my life. Here’s hoping September will bring some more amazing reads!

August 2022 Reading Wrap Up
Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare. I am so glad I finally got around to reading Chain of Iron. I re-read Chain of Gold in July to help refresh my memory and I’m just so in love with this series. Even though it took me most of the month to read, I just adored every minute of it — it’s mysterious and engaging and I adore these characters so much. I can’t wait to read the final book next year!
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood. I enjoyed Ali Hazelwood’s newest release. While I didn’t love her first book as much as everyone else, I enjoyed it and have been looking forward to her second book. Love on the Brain is fun and steamy and definitely made for a fun summer read!
Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young. At this point, I’ll read Adrienne Young’s grocery list. I got a surprise package in the mail and was gifted an advance copy of her adult debut — I immediately dropped everything and started reading it. It’s atmospheric, mysterious and magical. The writing transports you to the island of Saiorse and into the world of these characters. I absolutely loved every minute.
