I absolutely love adding books to my collection, so today I’m sharing my August 2017 book haul with you all!
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve purchased a few books, so I thought you might enjoy seeing what I added to my bookshelf!
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: I will totally admit it, I haven’t read any of Rainbow Rowell’s books. So I figured it was time I gave one a shot! A really good friend of mine said Attachments is a funny and enjoyale read so I’m hoping I like it. I’m already a couple of chapters in and am asking myself why it took me so long to try one of her books!
Caraval by Stephanie Garber: I have been hearing about this book all over Tumblr and Instagram! I figured it was about time I picked it up to try it out. The synopsis really, really intrigues me! I think a circus theme is really interesting and I hope I enjoy this book as much as other people have!
Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor: I’m not going to lie, I was drawn to this book because of Diana Gabaldon’s blurb on the front cover! It certainly is enough to sell me. I’m a big fan of Outlander so I’m looking forward to the time-travelling aspect of this one!
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare: Cassandra Clare is such a wonderful writer. I’m currently reading Lady Midnight so there is no doubt that I will want to pick this one up right afterwards! The Dark Artifices series is already shaping up to be amazing!
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch: I’ve already read this book and absolutely loved it. If you’re curious about my thoughts, you can check out my review. I read this book on my Kobo and because I enjoyed it so much, I knew I wanted a physical copy. I saw it on sale at my local Indigo store and knew I had to pick it up.
Map of Fates by Maggie Hall: This is the second book in The Conspiracy of Us trilogy. I recently read the first book, The Conspiracy of Us and really enjoyed it. It’s a supenseful mystery with historical events, which is really unique! I’m looking forward to see how she continues the story inthe sequel.
Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan: I love fairytales and Disney. Reign of Shadows is a retelling of Rapunzel, so what’s not to love? I can’t wait to give it a try. I just hope it’s as good as it sounds!
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson and Robin Wasserman: I’m a huge fan of Cassandra Clare which means I had to add this one to my collection! The paperback version releases very soon and I wanted to grab a hardcover before my bookstore ran out! I’m looking forward to some short stories set in the Shadowhunter world!
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee: Quite honestly, I’ve been seeing this book all over Instagram. It’s been getting such great reviews, that I’m curious to give it a try. It’s historical fiction with an interesting plot, so it’s shaping up to be a book I’ll love.
Well, that’s my August 2017 book haul! I really hope I enjoy these books as much as I think I will. They certainly add to my growing book collection!
