While I’m late in posting, I still want to share my April 2023 reading wrap up with you all!
May was an extremely busy month — for the first two weeks, I was in Florida with my family visiting Disney World. I decided to take the time and soak everything in, which meant that my blog took a back seat.
Even though we’re almost at the end of May, I still want to share the books I read in April and talk about my thoughts.
In April, I read a total of five books — two 2023 releases and three backlist titles. While it wasn’t my best reading month ever, I still think it was a decent reading month!
I’m hoping that the warmer months will help my reading since I want to spend more time outside, reading and relaxing!

April 2023 Reading Wrap Up
Never Vacation with Your Ex by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. I’ve always been a fan of Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka’s young adult books. Their newest release was an enjoyable read but it isn’t up there as one of my favourites. While it’s been a while since I’ve had a five star read from them, I still enjoy the light hearted stories they create and the sweet romance. Never Vacation with Your Ex is an enjoyable read and will definitely be the perfect summer book for those wanting to read it!
The Nanny by Lana Ferguson. What a STEAMY read! When I heard about The Nanny, I immediately added it to my list of books to read. The Nanny is a fun and entertaining read that’s perfect for you if you love steamy romance. It’s full of funny moments and definitely gave me Uptown Girls vibes!
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez. I finally read my first book by Abby Jimenez. The Friend Zone was a sweet and enjoyable romance. I immediately fell in love with Abby’s writing and I just loved the way she presents a story. While I didn’t love this book, I still appreciated the the story as a whole.
The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez. While I didn’t love The Friend Zone, I definitely loved every minute of The Happy Ever After Playlist. While the story has some sad moments in it, I really love how everything plays out — and the romance is really satisfying. I can definitely see myself re-reading this one in the future.
Life’s too Short by Abby Jimenez. Since I was on an Abby Jimenez role for the month, I decided to finish the month with Life’s too Short. I enjoyed this one as well! Just like her other books, the writing is wonderful, the overall story is satisfying and the romance is solid. Out of the three that I read, I think this one is my second favourite!
