Another month is coming to a close, which means it’s time to share my April 2022 reading wrap up!
While I hoped that 2022 would be a great reading year, it hasn’t exactly worked out that way.
My reading has been all over the place. I go between wanting to read and having no desire to read, which has been crazy. So for most of April, I didn’t finish a single book.
But, my reading finally picked up at the end of the month! I managed to read four books this month — one 2022 release, one 2021 release and two backlist books.
Considering how busy my life has been and my lack of wanting to read, I’m glad I managed to read four books this month!

April 2022 Reading Wrap Up
With and Without You by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. Every time Emily and Austin announce a new book, I eagerly wait for its release. While If I’m Being Honest still holds as my favourite of their books, I really enjoyed this one! It’s a really sweet book about young love, long distance and finding yourself.
Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q Sutanto: This book has been sitting on my shelf for way too long! I finally picked it up and I’m so happy I did! It’s such a fun story which a hilarious premise and loveable characters. It totally gives Weekend at Bernies vibes and I’m excited to read the sequel sometime soon! I highly recommend this one.
Just a Boy and a Girl in a Little Canoe by Sarah Mlynowski: My least favourite read of the month, and I’m super sad about it. I love reading YA contemporary romance books, so I had high hopes going in. I also love books with an outdoor setting so I thought I would love this one. Unfortunately it fell flat for me — the romance was pretty boring and I’m not happy with the way the story plays out.
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon: Another book that has been sitting on my shelf for far too long! It’s a fun contemporary romance. I love the strong female characters and the fact that the main character works in tech. It’s enjoyable and has great writing. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series soon!
