With the first of May tomorrow, I’m sharing my April 2021 reading wrap up!
While I love the start of a brand new month it’s also so crazy to know that we’re in the fifth month of the year. Time really is flying!
But this month has been my best reading month yet! I had a much better reading month compared to January, February and March. I read a total of ten books — most of them physical, and a few digital arcs.
I’m so happy with my reading month. I really hope I can keep up the streak in May.

April 2021 Reading Wrap Up
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott: When I was younger, I read an abridged version of Little Women so this was my first time reading the full novel. I did a buddy read with a friend of mine and I really enjoyed reading this classic! It’s super sweet and the story is really beautiful.
Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne: This is my second Sally Thorne book (I still haven’t read The Hating Game … oops!). While it isn’t necessarily a new found favourite romance book, it was still an enjoyable read. For my full thoughts, you can take a look at my review, here!
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn: I’m certainly not the only one who hopped onto the Bridgerton train after the release of the TV show! After binging the show and loving every minute of it, I had to pick up the book. I really enjoyed the book and comparing it to the show. I’m looking forward to picking up Anthony’s story soon!
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren: This book has been sitting on my shelf for a long time. I knew it was going to be one I would love, but it surpassed my expectation. I read this all in one sitting — it was funny, well written and I just loved the storyline!
Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau: Kisses and Croissants has been on my radar since I heard about it! I love all the sweet and cute contemporary romances. I enjoyed this one! It has a nice story and a really cute romance — but the Paris setting is the best part!
Sunkissed by Kasie West: I’m a big fan of Kasie West and I loved her newest release! The outdoor setting, the characters, the story and the overall growth of the main character is great. It’s certainly up there with my other favourite Kasie West book, Listen to Your Heart.
The Last Fallen Star by Graci Kim: This is up there as one of my favourite reads this month!! I read this book in one afternoon and it was incredible. The mythology, the action and adventure and these characters are all fantastic. It’s a definite five-star book and I can’t wait for book two!
That Summer by Sarah Dessen: I love Sarah Dessen but I haven’t read much from her early days of writing. I read this one for a Popsugar Reading Challenge prompt — a bestseller in the 90s. But unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The storyline was pretty boring and overall, it falls flat.
Dear Sweet Pea by Julie Murphy: I read this one when it first came out but realized I didn’t post a review. I was in the mood for a sweet middle grade read and this is the perfect one! Now, I get to relive all my feelings and share my review with you all soon!
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco: This is another re-read this month — I’m buddy reading the series with a friend who is reading it for the first time! I loved being back in this world with Audrey and Thomas. It’s one of my favourite series ever and I just can’t wait to read book two again!
