In 2017, I started sharing my thoughts about books on Tumblr. In 2018, I decided to expand and switch to a new blogging platform.
The Contented Reader aims to help others find new and incredible books to read and enjoy!
There’s nothing I love more than curling up with a good contemporary romance or escaping in a great fantasy.
My favourite authors include Morgan Matson, Sarah Dessen, Kasie West, Cassandra Clare, Sarah J Maas, and Adrienne Young. My favourite books include A Court of Mist and Fury, Serpent & Dove, The Unexpected Everything and Anne of Green Gables.
On my blog, you’ll find book reviews, book lists and recommendations. Since I focus on children’s books, middle grade, young adult and adult fiction, there’s a book for everyone!
In addition to blogging, I’m an elementary school teacher. I really enjoy working with kids and helping them excel in life. There’s nothing more amazing than encouraging them to become young readers!
Aside from books, I’m a HUGE Disney fan and I share the occassional post here on my blog. Whether it’s a Disney related book list or tips and tricks to think of when visiting the parks, you’ll find it all here.
I also love baking and crafts, like crochet and embroidery. I love binge-watching a great TV show (my favourites are Friends and Gilmore Girls!) and spending time with my two wonderful border collies.
