Review

I have been wanting to read Stalking Jack the Ripper for such a long time. I don’t really know why it took me so long. But, I tried to make it a priority and I’m happy I did!

Stalking Jack the Ripper follows Audrey Rose, a young girl in the late 1800s with a passion for forensic science. When the Jack the Ripper murders take place, Audrey desperately tries to solve the mystery.

I have to say that I honestly love these characters. I think they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Audrey Rose is bold and fiesty. She breaks the mold of what is expected of a girl in the late 1800s and I love that. She knows what she wants and she works to get it. I also love her relationship with her Uncle. He absolutely supports her passions and it’s a great dynamic.

Don’t even get me started on Thomas. I just adore him so so so much. He’s the perfect mystery solving companion and such a wonderful friend to Audrey. The witty banter between the two of them is constantly swoon-worthy.

I really enjoyed the mystery in this book. There are definitely twists and turns that keep you guessing. Sometimes I was able to guess what was going to happen but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the story and plot. The story is gruesome, eerie and spine chilling at times. But super enjoyable!

I also just really love Maniscalco’s writing. It flows effortlessly and is so easy to follow. It makes me feel like I’m in this world with Audrey and Thomas and helping to solve the mystery.

Overall, I really loved Stalking Jack the Ripper. I highly recommend checking this book out if you haven’t already! Don’t be like me and keep pushing it off. I’m really looking forward to continuing the series.

Fear is a hungry beast. The more you feed it, the more it grows.
