It’s Top Ten Tuesday! One of the reasons I am excited to read this month is because I can do more mood reading! October was full of new releases and ARCs to read. Because of this, I didn’t get to backlist books I have had lying around for a while.

I’m super excited that November is not full of new releases, so I can take a moment and read things that I feel more like reading! Today’s theme is backlist books I want to read. And let me tell you, my list is long – but this is good insight to some of the books I hope to get to at some point soon.

Books are in no particular order. As always, the title of the book links to it’s synopsis!

For those of you who are not familiar, Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where she assigns a new topic each week and posts a top ten list to follow that theme.

A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab - The Contented Reader
Vicious by VE Schwab - The Contented Reader

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab // 2015 // I keep hearing great things about books written by V.E. (or Victoria) Schwab. I’m hoping that this book will be as good as I’ve made it out to be in my head!

Vicious by V.E. Schwab // 2013 // There is so much hype surrounding this series and I am very curious to read it! It’s just a question of whether I read this before A Darker Shade of Magic or not!

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - The Contented Reader
The Young Elites by Marie Lu - The Contented Reader

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern // 2011 // This book has been on my TBR list for a while now. Ever since I read Caraval, I’ve been curious about this book as well. So hopefully I get a chance to read it soon.

The Young Elites by Marie Lu // 2014 // I really love the Warcross duology by Marie Lu and so I would like to venture into more of her books! I’ve heard some interesting things about The Young Elites, so I think it’s where I’ll start!

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Manscalco - The Contented Reader
Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor - The Contented Reader

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Manascalco // 2016 // There is a lot of hype surrounding this series as well and it’s definitely enough to make me curious!

Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor // 2016 // This book definitely seems like the YA version of Outlander. Since I absolutely adore Outlander, I’m very intrigued to read this one! It’s just been sitting on my shelf for too long!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne - The Contented Reader
Wait for Me by Caroline Leech - The Contented Reader

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne // 2016 // This has been on my TBR since it was released and yet I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. I’ve heard such great things about it so I really hope I get to it soon!

Wait for Me by Caroline Leech // 2017 // I’m really curious about this historical fiction and it’s about time that I pick it up! Hopefully soon!

The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee - The Contented Reader
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare - The Contented Reader

The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee // 2017 // I’ve read the first in this series and with the release of the final book, I think it’s time I continue. While I didn’t love the first book, it certainly is enough to make me want to continue the series!

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare // 2017 // And, of course this has to be on the list! I plan on reading this before the release of Queen of Air and Darkness. Which I’ve heard is a good decision because not many people have enjoyed waiting the year for the release of the final book!

Well those are some immediate backlist books that I hope to get to at some point soon! I have so many other books on my list (obviously!) but this is a good start, I think!

As always, please leave a link to your Top Ten Tuesday down below so I can check it out!
