Happy October, everyone! We are officially in one of my favourite months. The weather is a bit chilly and the fall colours are moving in. Thanksgiving is this weekend here in Canada. It’s early this year but I am very excited for some turkey and pumpkin pie!
October is also very exciting because of the amazing books to be released this month! I am eagerly anticipating so many of these books. Luckily, I happen to have a number of these books as ARCs. That means I have some awesome reviews to come this month and into November!
I’ve written ARC next to the ones that you can expect reviews from soon! As always, the title of the book links to the synopsis.
Broken Things by Lauren Oliver // ARC // I’m looking forward to this mysterious and thrilling book. It gives me a lot of Pretty Little Liars vibes and I’m curious to see how it all plays out!
Dry by Neal Shusterman + Jarrod Shusterman // I read Scythe this year and I really enjoyed Neal Shusterman’s writing. The premise of this book is really interesting and I love that he wrote this book with his son!
Grim Lovelies by Megan Shepherd // ARC // I’ve already read this book and enjoyed it! Be sure to check out my review and Q+A with Megan when it is live, tomorrow!
The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee // ARC // Do I really need to say more about this? I am SUPER excited for a book all about Felicity!
When We Caught Fire by Anna Godbersen // ARC // I just really love historical fiction. It’s one of my favourite genres. When I read The Luxe by Godbersen, I really enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to a new book by her. Plus, the Chicago Fire is a really interesting time period for this book!
Blanca and Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore // ARC // I really didn’t know much about this book until I was sent an ARC of it. After reading the synopsis though it looks like it’s going to be a fun book. Sisters and a game rooted in magic? Seems like a solid premise!
What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera // How could I not be excited for a release by two of the greatest contemporary authors? I think this is going to be an incredible meet-cute story. I pre-ordered mine with the Indigo Book Box which should come the day the book releases!
An Assassin’s Guide to Love and Treason by Virgina Boecker // ARC // This book looks so good! It’s a historical fiction, looks like it’s filled with adventure and has aspects of Shakespeare woven throughout!
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas // While I’m still really behind in this series (sigh) I am still very excited for the final book. I tried to catch up by its release but no such luck! Hopefully I’ll be reading this one before the end of the year!
