Happy Monday, everyone – I’m so excited to share my August 2018 Book Outlet Haul!
One of the best things about being an avid reader is the addition of new books. Well, at least for me! I am slowly drowning in both ARCs and finished copies, running out of room on my shelves and storing books in weird places. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Recently, I went on the Book Outlet website to see what new books they had. Originally, I had no desire to order new books but the prices on Book Outlet are so hard to resist. I figured it was about time I did another book haul, so let’s take a look at the books I purchased!
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins // I’ve already read Anna and the French Kiss and really enjoyed it. But, I read it on my KOBO. I figured it was a book I wanted to have as a physical copy. If you haven’t read this book, you can read my review here.
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins // Surprisingly, I have not read the sequel to Anna and the French Kiss. I have a copy of it on my KOBO as well and I’ve always been curious to read it – I just haven’t found the time. Hopefully having it in physical form will push me to read it sometime soon!
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas // I am slowly making my way through the Throne of Glass series in anticipation for the final book, Kingdom of Ash. While I still need to read Queen of Shadows, I figured I would pick up the next one in advance. The price of this book (in hardcover) was totally hard to pass up!
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas // Similar to my reasons for purchasing Empire of Storms, I could not pass up Tower of Dawn. Will I catch up before Kingdom of Ash? Probably not, ha! But at least I’m trying!
Wait for Me by Caroline Leech // Anyone who knows me, will know that I am a huge fan of historical fiction. Especially given the fact that I majored in history in university. I’ve been intrigued by Caroline Leech since hearing about her most recent publication, In Another Time, and I’m looking forward to giving her debut novel a shot! Plus, I love how simplistic her covers are!
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon // This book has been on my radar for a while and I just never had the chance to pick myself up a copy. I’m very curious about this contemporary, especially after hearing quite a few positive reviews.
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab // Confession time: I have not read any of V.E. (or Victoria) Schwab’s books! I know, shocker. When I came across this one I knew it was a sign I needed to give her books a shot. I’ve only heard wonderful things about her writing and her worlds. I am definitely looking forward to diving into this series.
With this haul, I brought in seven new books to my collection. I ended up saving over $70 based on the retail prices, which is pretty awesome. If you haven’t tried Book Outlet out, I highly recommend it!
