Blacklist Blast

Backlist Blast #5 – Since You’ve Been Gone!

Another Backlist Blast! Today’s post features a contemporary read from one of my go-to authors!

Morgan Matson is someone I consider to be a auto-buy, even though I’ve only actually read one of her books. I loved the Unexpected Everything and I’m currently reading Save the Date. You’re always guaranteed a good read with her!

That said, I can’t believe that I haven’t read her previously published books. I know, I’m crazy!

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Backlist Blast is a weekly meme hosted by Flavia from Flavia the Bibliophile and Milana from A Couple Reads. The purpose of the meme is to showcase books that were published at least six months prior to the publishing of these blog posts. These books can either be past favourites, or just books on those huge TBR lists we have!

So today’s Backlist Blast goes to…

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Publisher: Simon & Schuster | Release: May 6th, 2014

This looks like a super cute read! I definitely have it on my to be read list for the summer – it just looks like a perfect book to read poolside!

Synopsis:

It was Sloane who yanked Emily out of her shell and made life 100% interesting. But right before what should have been the most epic summer, Sloane just…disappears. All she leaves behind is a to-do list.

On it, thirteen Sloane-inspired tasks that Emily would normally never try. But what if they could bring her best friend back?

Apple picking at night? Okay, easy enough.

Dance until dawn? Sure. Why not?

Kiss a stranger? Um…

Emily now has this unexpected summer, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected), to check things off Sloane’s list. Who knows what she’ll find?

Go skinny-dipping? Wait…what?

Have you read this book? What did you think of it? Is Morgan Matson one of the authors you like too?

Happy Thursday, everyone!
