ARCstravaganza #1 – Furyborn!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you’re all having a great start to your week! I just got back from a week vacation yesterday, so I took today to get settled back home. I love travelling, but there is certainly no place like home.

Today I’m starting a brand new weekly meme on my blog! One of the wonderful things about being a book blogger is when Publisher’s want to work with you. It’s one thing I never dreamed would happen, but it did!

My wonderful friend Flavia, who blogs over at Flavia the Bibliophile, is now in charge of hosting a weekly meme that allows us to showcase ARCs that Publisher’s kindly send to us.

For those unfamiliar, ARCstravaganza was a weekly meme created by Krysti at YA and Wine and hosted by her and Sarah at The Clever Reader. They had to let the meme go because of personal reasons but Flavia at Flavia the Bibliophile decided to continue hosting it! The meme allows book bloggers to highlight and discuss ARCs that they received!

My ARC Choice

Furyborn by Claire Legrand

Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire | Release: May 22nd, 2018

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Fire for sending me a Limited Edition ARC of Furyborn! I’m currently reading it, and so far, it’s really good!!

When assassins ambush her best friend, the crown prince, Rielle Dardenne risks everything to save him, exposing her ability to perform all seven kinds of elemental magic. The only people who should possess this extraordinary power are a pair of prophesied queens: a queen of light and salvation and a queen of blood and destruction. To prove she is the Sun Queen, Rielle must endure seven trials to test her magic. If she fails, she will be executed…unless the trials kill her first.

A thousand years later, the legend of Queen Rielle is a mere fairy tale to bounty hunter Eliana Ferracora. When the Undying Empire conquered her kingdom, she embraced violence to keep her family alive. Now, she believes herself untouchable–until her mother vanishes without a trace, along with countless other women in their city. To find her, Eliana joins a rebel captain on a dangerous mission and discovers that the evil at the heart of the empire is more terrible than she ever imagined.

As Rielle and Eliana fight in a cosmic war that spans millennia, their stories intersect, and the shocking connections between them ultimately determine the fate of their world–and of each other.
