Most Anticipated | Books of 2018

Wow! I can’t believe today is the last day of 2017. Is it just me or did this year just fly by?

As a book lover, I find that with each passing year, the book selections just get better and better! I especially find this with the young adult genre. There are so many books to look forward to in 2018 so I’ve rounded up a few of them that I hope to read in this new year!

The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane // January 30th // Skyscape // This book looks super adorable! I love the Irish setting and it looks like it has an adorable romance!

Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman - The Contented Reader

Tempests and Slaughter by Tamora Pierce // February 6th // Random House for Young Readers // I’ve heard Tamora Pierce is the queen of fantasy and yet I’ve never read one of her books! I’m hoping this will be the first!

Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman // February 27th // Random House for Young Readers // An ARC was recently sent to me and this book definitely has me intrigued!

Lost Crow Conspiracy by Rosalyn Eves - The Contented Reader

The Beauty that Remains by Ashley Woodfolk // March 6th // Delacorte Press // I was also sent an ARC of this and I’m very curious about it! It certainly seems like a book I’ll love, so hopefully it lives up to my expectations!

Lost Crow Conspiracy by Rosalyn Eves // March 27th // Knopf Books for Young Readers // I’m very intrigued by this story – I just have to read the first book before reading this one, oops!

The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth - The Contented Reader

The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth // April 10th // Katherine Tegen Books // While I haven’t read the first book, Carve the Mark, yet, I’m still highly anticipating this book! I think this duology is going to be a wild ride!

Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch // May 1st // Simon Pulse // I’m so excited for this contemporary! I absolutely adored Love and Gelato and I hope this one will be just as good!

War Storm by Victoria Aveyard // May 15th // HarperTeen // Even though I have yet to read King’s Cage, I’m really excited for the end of this epic series! I just love Aveyard’s writing!

Legendary by Stephanie Garber // May 29th // Flatiron Books // AH! This book is probably my MOST anticipated read for this year. I am so excited to see how this magical series continues!

Save the Date by Morgan Matson // June 5th // Simon Schuster Books for Young Readers // I LOVE Morgan Matson and I cannot wait for her newest book! This one looks like it will be so much fun!

My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows // June 26th // HarperTeen // I haven’t read the first book yet but I certainly am excited for this one! I have heard that this series is standalone though, so we’ll see if I get to the first one soon!

The Towering Sky by Katharine McGee // August 28th // HarperCollins // I still need to read the second book in this series but I certainly am looking forward to how this series ends!

In Another Time by Caroline Leech // August 28th // HarperTeen // Like I said, I love historical fiction, so I can’t wait for this one! I also LOVE the cover of this one!

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee // October 2nd // Katherine Tegen Books // I really really enjoyed the first book in this series and I’m so excited to see Felicity in her own book!

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare - The Contented Reader

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare // December 4th // Margaret K. McElderry Books // I am SO SO excited for another book by one of my favourite YA authors! I’m ready for an epic conclusion to this trilogy!!

There are obviously so many other books I could include, but these are just a few of my most anticipated books of 2018! Feel free to leave a link to your most anticipated list for this year, I’d love to check it out!
